The LCD tv reboots over and over again
Try sticking in a blank but empty USB memory stick into the USB port.... have the real remote (philips not a universal) ready... Go into the TV Menu..Select Software Update, then select Update Assistant.... then right click over to start now... It will write an HTML file to the memory card.. wait for it to say done,(been awhile since iv done it), plug it into your PC/Mac and open the file on the USB stick.... if you need an update it will check for it... download the update and the instructions to your desktop (might be compressed, if so open it and copy the files according to the readme.... stop the stick (eject) in Windows or the mac equivalent... pull it out of the pc.. turn OFF the tv and insert...
This can very likely stop the reboot loop.. Iv seen mentions of some tv firmware revisions having this problem.
(This is a useful solution for many *soft* problems with the philips flatscreens/lcd panels... It resolved an HDMI issue i had)....if it has a USB port (which most of the LCD/flatpanels do) for slideshow viewing of images..
One caveat.. How long is it staying up before it reboots...you need the tv to be able to stay on for 6-7 minutes to do the update.. if its not.. i wouldnt do it
