i had a sanyo plc sw30 wich had the same problem and it turned out to be the bulb replaced it with new one and this seemed to solve the problem. Theres a few places to get new ones but they are not cheap looking at between £150 to £180 hope this helps
It might be that you are using the port for this function.
I suspect that you are using the one on the side of the unit - instead of the smaller usb port at the back - which is actually the one that should be used for this function.
The USB port on the side is made for a flashdrive.
