The boiler is tightened down via a big brass or plasitc ring which is threaded look on the page linked below

Hi your grind is to course and or your tamp is to loose. Even with the right grind and tamp water will filter down through the puck eventually.

If you check the coil with your ohms meter and get no reading then you might be able to find one from crossroads espresso they are the biggest Pavoni dealer 15413444600.

I am a domestic coffee machine engineer based in Glasgow, Scotland and i service, repair and refurbish these machines on a daily basis. You will probably find that the gaskets which are holding the sightglass in place are completely solid and resemble a hard plastic like gasket. There will definately be gaskets there as if not the sightglass would rattle about and the water would pour straight out. It depends on which sight glass nuts you have but if they are the clear plastic nuts you will find either black, white or clear gaskets underneath and if the nuts are metal then you should see brass washers first and then the gaskets underneath the washers. It is very cost effective to fix and not buy a new one if you haven't already. A new element and gasket kit would set you back about £80 where a new machine of this same spec will set you back at least £700 for the brass and copper or even more. If the machine works great after the first cup then it is possible that the heat for your first espresso went to heating the portafilter or the cup used to brew into, try warming the portafilter first by running some hot water through it first.

There is a 'magic' fuse button hidden in the base of the unit, concealed by a rubber gromit. Pull out the gromit, press the red button and it should come back on.

check for water leaks,unplug heating element,and try again.or the motor,then try again.
