My Dell 5160 has what is called Access Direct, and this may be similar to what you have. If so, you find it in control panel, printers and other hardware, keyboard.

These extra keys are manufacture specific. The software provided with the system decides the funtion the additional keys has to perform. However, Some manufacturer enables option to change the default settings of the key. This again, if available should be in the software provided. If not then there is no other option to reconfigure it.

Thanks for the suggestion budddy but the prob is that there is no 'play' option. In place of play option there is only the option of 'copy'. Guide me. Thanks

The shortcut for the game should be in this folder in Windows Explorer:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Games
if you can double left click the shortcut there the game should launch. If it doesn't, then in Programs and Features, there should be a turn Windows Features on and Off option on the left side. Uninstall the games, reboot, the reinstall the games the same way, see if anythign changes

No audio installer

Hi.

This is an easy fix, so have no fear, ok?

All you have to do is go to realtek.com
Once on their website, click on the ac'97 link.
This takes you to the acceptance page.
Click that you accept the rules thing, and it will take you to the download selection page.
On this page you will see a big list of different operating systems, and different versions of the software.

Select the executable version for win xp pro, and download the file to your pc.
Install the file, and after it is done installing, REBOOT your computer.
You must reboot in order for the installation to be final and allows the software to turn on the audio service.
Once rebooted, your audio should be good to go!

I hope this helps you out, if it doesn't work, let me know and I will help you some more.

Once in a great while it doesn't work, but there other steps that can be done if that's the case, ok?

This should work for you though, good luck to you, and have a good day.

How do i reboot my computer

Hi,

To reboot the desktop machine, kindly press the power on button for few seconds / small button(reset) below the power button to reboot the computer.

If its laptop follow the below steps

Determine what operating system it uses. Finding out what operating system your laptop uses will let you know what key combo (such as "Ctrl+Alt+Delete") can exit you from usage and trigger a reboot or shutdown.

Try and reboot using the operating system. Attempt to use the key combination that will allow you to exit from the operating system and restart the laptop. Be patient, as it may take some time if it has locked up.

Hold down the power button. If the operating system's answer to the rebooting will not work, find and hold down the power button of the laptop. This should cause the device to shut itself off. You'll have to press the power button again to power it back on, completing the reboot.

Unplug from the wall and remove the battery. If restarting via the operating system and the power button do not work, unplug the laptop from the wall outlet, and remove the battery from the laptop. This will cause it to power off immediately.

Allow time to reboot. Give the laptop time to cool down before you power it back on if you had to do this manually. A few seconds should do unless you have additional problems.

How do i reboot my computer

There are several ways to reboot your computer. If it's working properly and you need to reboot it manually, click "Start" and then, click "Turn off computer" and again click "Restart". The other simplest shortcut is press Alt+F4 on the keyboard simultaneously and click "Restart".

If you are having trouble doing this, the press the "Reset" button the the box. Still this isn't possible? then Unplug the power chord and reconnect it after few seconds and then Power on again.

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

I need to reboot my computer and when it starts up but i dont know how

How to reboot a PC.
  • Save work if it's in jeopardy. If your PC has frozen, attempt to save your data before rebooting your machine. Rebooting will almost certainly cause data loss. Attempt to save your data to your hard drive, diskette or portable media.
  • Step 2 Determine the steps your operating system has to go through to reboot. Some operating systems allow you to press Control, Alt and Delete to reboot the PC. Others require different commands. However, if the operating system and software are frozen, you may use the power button on the machine or the power strip.
  • Step 3 Use the power switch if necessary. If you cannot access the shutdown feature of the operating system and the relevant buttons still won't allow for a reboot, press and hold the power button on the PC. Allow the machine to rest for a few seconds, then power back on.
  • Step 4 Wait for the power-on self-test. Allow the PC to check its components thoroughly through the initial boot screens that will appear.
  • Step 5 Resume working. Log back into the machine and continue to work.
