Yes, Skype doesn't suport the Galaxy S officially (unless you upgrade to Froyo). Fring video calling works and you can simply toggle. If your current fring not working then you may try to upgrade to the latest version. Previous versions of Fring showed some problems with the front facing camera. But now it should work fine (i am using fring on galaxy s too)
