Without taking the machine apart, it will be virtually impossible to know what the squealing is from or how to fix it. The device will have to be diss-assembled to examine what the problem actually is, fix it, and them re-assembled. If you camn't do it, or don't have the tools, then call a few places around town to see who can do the work and how much it will cost you. IF the machine is under warranty, and you have proof-of-purchase, it can be replaced or repaired for NO CHARGE. CONTACT KRUPS on their 1-800 number toll free line and ask for a cutomer service representative and explain your problem to them, and they will advise you.

Go to KRUPS.COM online, and you should be able to find a free manual to download. IF NOT, call them directly on their 1-800 toll free line and ask for a customer service rep and ask them how to obtain the manual for your machine. They can and will help.

This portable, plug-in grinder has a removable lid and bean grinder chamber. The blade on the Krups bean grinder is fastened to the bottom of the grinder chamber. You may need to replace the blade on your Krups 203. The Krups 203 comes with a limited 1-year warranty, but the company recommends you send your grinder to the company to make repairs. 1. • 1 Unplug your Krups grinder from the wall.
   • 2 Remove the grinder's lid, and use a cloth to wipe out the inside of the grinder chamber.
   • 3 Put your safety gloves on and then grasp the blade of the grinder with your channel locks.
   • 4 Use the pliers to turn the plastic fastening nut to the left as you continue to hold the blade with the channel locks. Once the plastic nut comes loose, twist it off by hand and remove it, along with the plastic washer beneath it and the old blade.
   • 5 Set the new blade in place, and replace the washer and nut. You will have to hold the new blade in place with the channel locks as you tighten the securing nut.

It probably cooked the motor. You need to assess the cost of repair against a new unit and if your coffee will have a smokey taste if repaired also It would be easier to just buy a new one. Not worth the time or effort to repair.thanks

It is not waterproof. Follow the manual and wipe it with a damp cloth.

There are four little opening on the bottom through which you can see the clips. To get to the clips insert a screwdriver on the side and push one the clips inwards. Simultaneously, pull the bottom out. Repeat for other three clips. The process is not easy, I broke two of the clips. However, bottom seemed to go back on ok.

In my above solution there is a segment that reads "of the back of the E" which should be "at the back of the "E"".
