Source does not show up.

Hello,
I have a 32 inch samsung ln32a330 lcd tv. Two sources, AV and HDMI1, are failing to show up on my list of options. I used both of them for the first 6 months I had the tv. Then, the AV option cut out. Now, the HDMI1 option is gone! So, I only have HDMI2 left to watch tv. Any hints on how to fix this problem? Thanks.

    Hello,

Unfortunately that did not solve the problem. My different input sources are not showing up. Any other advice? Thanks for trying to help.

  • mikesnow33 Feb 23, 2009

Thanks for the help. Moved the hdmi2 to hdmi1, now only hdmi1 shows up. Does that mean two of my three cables are messed up? Why would two cables cease to work?

Should I just buy two more cables?

take the hdmi cord that is plugged into hdmi2 and put it into hdmi1 which will now be for the tv. now on the tv remote hit source button and scroll down all the way till hdmi1 is and hit center or ok button to connect. see if this helps

try a better hdmi cable eforcity makes some good quality cables a set of 3 cables at 6 foot lengths with good connectors for under 15$ is great i have these and i swear by them. http://www.eforcity.com/242752.html

see i told you. but why did you give me a thanks for trying?

i would like a little better ranking please. If you buy cheap cables this is what happens. i use the ones in the link i provided very good feeback on Amazon. com but order direct at the link it is cheaper.

But if you can help my ranking. i had suggested it was bad cables and from what you said now that hdmi 1 is showing proves that there is nothing wrong with tv it is just bad cables.

so was it the cables? I believe i helped in your solution showing that there is not anything wrong with the sources on your tv so how bout a higher ranking pls. This site works on ratings.

How do I switch my Samsung TV inputs from AV to HDMI1?

Hi Lucindia,
Changing SOURCE is a very simple job. Just press SOURCE key on your remote control and there will a list of all the available inputs on the screen. Select the input of your choice by following the instructions on the screen. Have I understood your question or you mean something else?
Regards.

What causes pixelating on my Samsung tv?

if it happens in every source, there is a problem with the lcd screen, but if it only happens when watching using aerial connection, then you have a poor connection, tv is not getting enough signal from the antenna

32" samsung hdtv flat panel: switches when you don't want it from tv to av/pc or av to tv/pc.

Sometimes, TVs will switch to a new input when they sense a new signal on the new input. So if you're watching TV and someone turns on the AV device (or makes a change that alters or starts a video signal), the TV may switch over to that signal. This is a function of the TV. Some TVs allow you to disable this function, others do not. I looked in the manual and didn't notice where this could be enabled or disabled. If you want to only watch one source, make sure the other sources are turned off.

Hello, how do i change the setting to hdmi on my tv? thanks :)

When your HDMI cable already hooked up to TV via HDMI input, press button SOURCE on the remote control. You must see all the inputs there. If you don't see, keep rolling down the arrow button. You will see it. When it got highlighted, press Enter, your TV will switch to HDMI inputs automatically.

Samsung Source Options Are Missing

Is there any connection with S-Video?
If yes, you need to unplug S-Video first.

If not, better to check the Main Board.
