It uses a Rayovac 5100LB or equivalent, also used by a number of cell phones. Try looking among cell phone batteries.

I need to replace the diagonal periscope viewer for a vivitar telescope 60 x 120

The diagonal comes in 3 sizes --- .965, 1.25, and 2 inch sizes. Measure the hole in the focuser and buy the correct size. The .965 size is difficult to find. Try these online retailers:

takes 2 AA batteries, if this is a vivitar camera, ordinary one not lithium
