Cigarette port my front cigarett port wont charge electrical items plugged in even after ten mins

Some of these Jump start that Walmart & Ebay & other places sell the jump start that have a cigarette lighter plug in.
If you could borrow a Jump Start and buy you a cigarette light adapter that has male plugs on both sides then plug it into the jump start cigarette lighter socket then plug it into your cigarette lighter but you need to make sure your lighter socket works & doesn't have a blown fuse.
You will be able to jump start it but it will take a good charge in the Jump start you borrowed or bought .Take the palm of your hand & hit the hood real hard multiple times Or take a hair dryer out there & blow underneath the hood.

Changing the fuse in the fuse box wont solve your problem On the back of the socket that is mounted in the dash that the lighter pushes into has a inline fuse that if over heated will blow. You will have to change the lighter. Toyota wanted close to $70 for a replacement lighter for my Tacoma. I never used the cigarette lighter for cigarett but needed to charge my cell phone so I replaced it with a dash Mount 12 Volt Power Socket for $10. Good luck.

If you have a trailer plug in the rear of the vehicle, power can be feed into the correct terminals to allow for electric things to work. Also, the interior power outlet for the cigarette lighter can be used as a port to feed in power with any cigarette power lead. Just be sure to use the negative with the same polarity.

For that matter, if the interior is accessible, you can uncover the fuse panel and feed power into the fuse block. Any 12Volt battery will provide enough power to open the boot.

do you have your heater controls set to defrost and the fan on high when you park the car,that way when you use your remote it is already set up.Your scooter though,I guess if it was me,I would run wires up to the front seat so I could plug it in the cigarette lighter while I was driving to charge up.

you can use a portable battery booster.it has a cable to run power through cigarette lighter.remove cigarette lighter then plug it in.it will boost battery through cigarette lighter.

the cig lighter might be shorting out and cauding the other problem. sell the car and buy a toyota.

a lot of cars are that way u need to have it changed to a power point adapter should not cost to much GM is famous for doing this even though it does not make sense

The best way is through the cigarette lighter port (You will need to buy a jumper cable with cigarette lighter plugs on both ends)And just plug it into another cars lighter port or a jumper pack port.This will put the 12 volts through the car needed to open the truck.
