Panasonic TH-42PH9 id blowing fuses

I have a Panasonic TH-42PH9. I was watching tv and the screen just went blank. I opened the back up and found 2 blown fuses. I replaced the fuses, and now when I turn the tv on, the green light comes on but there is no picture. I cant get the remote to do anything to the tv, and it never goes to stanby by mode. It is like the tv does not come on fully....I need some advice please

SOURCE: Panasonic TH-50PZ Plasma TV won't come on.

I had the same issue twice with a TH 42PWD5. turns out it was my UPS that was killing the switching power supply. Warranty covered it but when I removed the UPS not a single issue in 3 years.

SOURCE: (panasonic TH-42PZ77U plasma) the tv will power on

in protective mode the tv does not turn on and light is blinking, typically we must proceed by elimination as some faulty sections are preventing the tv to switch on. unplug the output power connectors from the power supply until the latter stop clicking. if it is still clicking after every of the output rail have been disconnected, then the power supply itself is faulty.

hope this helps!

HDMI STOPPED WORKING PANASONIC TH-42PV500B

I had a same issue with my Panasonic TH-42PV500B plasma television. I tried everything which is written above and can be found on different websites. Finally I decided to replace the HDMI Board itself. I was able to buy a used one on ebay, it was only 13 pounds with postage. It is relatively easy to remove this HDMI Board. You should just unplug the TV and remove all of the screws form the back which are fixing the back of the TV to the frame. There are plenty of screws. You should remove all of them! Remove the backplate of the TV. After this you can remove another metal plate from inside, which covers this HDMI board - 4 screws. After you can remove the HDMI Board - only one screw holding it to the main board. Replace the new one back and put back the cover plate and the back of the TV. And it is working. 10_19_2012_3_10_22_pm.png Panasonic 42 Plasma TV TH-42PV500B Part HDMI Board Order number: TNPA3626

My TH-42PX6U TV went completly dead

Ok, I hope to save you a lot of money. I finally figured it out. There are a lot of hints on the web. Once you get it fixed you will regocnize them. So here is what I did. Had to order the 2 fuses for the main power board from panasonic. The fuse number is K5D802BNA005. You only need two. Once I changed the 2 fuses I go the tv to power up but the red light blinked 10 times. This indicated there is a power problem.
There is a high probability the P board is bad. You can check this by checking th voltage on the number one pin on the p10 connector. TO do this you have to measure the voltage as you power the TV up. you should get 14 volts. if not the board is bad. I bought one on Ebay for $120. Put it in and it works. good luck.
