Click the "Restore Factory Setup" button. You should see a warning explaining that you are about to destroy all personal files. This process will remove all of your personal files and settings, but it will also remove what was causing the problem with your system.
To continue with the restore of the factory settings, press the OK button.
Your computer will now shutdown and restart to begin the restore process. You will now see a message stating that "System Restore in progress. Please do not interrupt this operation or turn off your computer". You are now restoring your system. This process can take 30 minutes or more. When the process is complete, the system will reboot. Click on this link or copy and paste the complete link into your browser. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. The file that your installation setup is looking for is the "Doctor
Watson" launcher (dwtrig20.exe). From the error message you posted,
setup is looking for the file on you installation media in the U.S.
English directory "office.en-us".
What all of this means is that your installation media is probably
corrupt. If this is a legal copy of Office, you should be able to get a
replacement disk from MS at no cost. If you have a friend with a copy
of the disk, you can borrow it to complete your installation. You would
just use your own registration code.
If this is a pirated copy of Office, corrupt files are common. You're on your own in that case
The file can be copied from different computer using the same operating system and same version..It can only be done if you can hook up your hardisk from that computer and make it as slave...go to search file and search for the NTLDR file and its directory. copy the file and save it to the same directory of your hardisk slave. If file copying is successful, disconnect your hardisk from that computer and connect it to your laptop, then try to boot.
If that did not work, you can repair your missing file by running your windows installer. Make your cd rom as first booting device and run the setup of windows, when prompted, press F8.. follow some instructions. After searching previous windows system press R key to repair the system.. The set up will restart your unit once its complete.
i hope i help you with this...
much appreciated if you rate this solution..thnaks.
It means Operating System was not installed completely. Do the followings:
1. Insert the CD or DVD of Operating System and then boot your machine.
2. Simply follow instructions to screen to complete the installation.
3. Note that an Operating System have TWO steps to complete before we decleare that OS is installed. In first step it format the hard drive, copy setup files from CD/DVD to formated hard drive in a temp directory. This step is called "SETUP". Your computer reboot itself after this step. It does not mean operating system is installed.
4. In 2nd step, make sure CD/DVD is still in your machine, just watch while OS starts 'INSTALLATION" . You will be able to view the progress.
OS might ask you input OS product key, computer name and some basic network information which you should have handy.
Once Installation is complete, your PC will reboot and NOW you have a full fledge OS on your PC.
shell32.dll file is very important windows system files. It control all users grapgical settings, icons, anything related to graphic user interface of the Operating system. If shell32.dll cannot be copied during installation, the system never gets to GUI mode.Try using a New CD/DVD.it will solve your problem.
