Problem with a tiller Earthquake viper engine either the carburator or carburator gaskets LBLSNMC43

Started by flooded out. Gas just runs through it. Was told by a mechanic a diaphragm was bad. I need either a carburator or carburator gaskets to get it put back together. Place where I bought it does not service engines.

The Viper Engine is a Honda clone. Try a new carb for $15 0n ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-GX160-5-5HP-HONDA-ADJUSTABLE-CARBURETOR-WITH-FREE-GASKETS/121225345625?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D30002%26meid%3Df495007fc18649159ceb1009031e4fad%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D10%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D261393057447

SOURCE: viper engine on my earthquake tiller starts fine

You probably need a new coil, if it is a 2 stroke then it will almost certainly be the coil. The defect is very typical and recognizable.

My carburator is getting gas but doesn't flow to bowl. Not starting, not getting gas

Go here and download the Instruction Manual for the tiller:
http://www.getearthquake.com/foundations/DownloadCenter/downloadpopup.asp?file=OM31320E.pdf

Looking closely at the carb, I see it is a very basic bowl and float type.

1) Turn off the gas vavle, so gas won't start leaking all over everything.

Simply remove the nut at the bottom of the carb, and remove the bowl by turning it ever so slightly as you pull down gently on it. Clean the crud out of the bowl, and then remove the pin (it just pushes through) that the float hangs from, and remove the little needle valve and wire holder that keeps it in place.

(study it very, very closely before you do this so you can reassemble everything back properly!)

Jam the end of the spray tube of a can of carb cleaner up into the seat of the valve and back-flush it. You may have to open the gas-supply valve to do this.

When the gas starts flowing, you've successfully cleaned the clog.

Turn off the gas-valve again, reassemble everything, do not over-tighten the nut on the bottom of the bowl, turn the gas back on, check for leaks, start the tiller and you should run just fine!

My Earthquake Rear Tine Gas Rototiller - 196cc Viper Engine 4-cycle just makes a squeeling noise and tines won't rotate.

Sounds like the belt is slipping. Have you removed the belt cover and inspected the belt and the tensioner pulley ? If your model is like mine the tension can be adjusted just below the handles by looseneing the nut where the cable goes into the cable sheath and moving the cable cover further away from the handle. That takes up some slack and will make the tensioner pulley tighter on the belt. If the belt is shot tension isn't going to help.
Try "google" with "earthquake 5070 manual" first option should be a PDF copy of a model 5070 manual. Will have diagrams on how to adjust the cables.

Earthquake tiller viper 43cc engine will not start

I have the same issue, I thought it was the carburetor so I cleaned it and put it back together, same issue, I put a new carburetor on it same issue, has great spark, if I spray carb cleaner into it, it will start and run for a few seconds even throttle up, but then it dies, and will not start again without carb cleaner spray, and fuel is fresh and properly mixed, very confusing indeed.
