1993 Mercedes after a long drive, engine cuts off at red light

1993 Mercedes Benz 300 E, 3.2 engine will drive ok for a while, then while stopping at a red light, the engine cuts off and won't start until maybe 3-5 minutes later.

the same thing happened on my car, it was simply overheating. It has some kind of system that wont allow it to restart unless it cools a but. you can get it fixed easily. it was a real bummer in traffic jams.

Mercedes S300 TD 1998 model, engine do not work smoothly, do not stop, but the car shakes when standing still.

Sounds like its off a cylinder. Most likely an injector or a vacuum leak. You will need a mechanic to check it.

engine wiring harness upper and lower could be degraded, coil could be bad, throttle positioner, fuel distributor could be bad and depending if its a half year car and you have an OVP that could be bad. Also after a full tune up have someone adjust the duty cycle.

Check Engine light on 1992 mercedes 300 wagon= engine chekd OK

A service department will need to hook this up to a computer to clear the code. You could also try to disconnect the battery for a few minutes and hook back up and may stay off. If it does come back on you will definitly need to take into dealer to have cleared.
