If you are using RCA plug cables or an HDMI cable it may be that. Try
the input button on your remote to see if the tv is set in the proper input
channel. Disconnect everything, then reconnect and try again.

Teac set top box hd860 showing black and white picture on tv and NO sound

Hello Rosemary, it is very possible that you have your Teac HD860, in another television color standard (PAL) and not in NTSC, this you can check it by entering the Menu
Follow the steps indicated on page 17 of the user manual of your Teac
I sent you the link so you can download it
I hope you have the programs in colors again

TEAC Axia TV Model: LCDV 2605 set up to use surround sound speakers. Wish to revert to TV's own built-in sound system speakers only. Do not have a manualas was gifted a second-hand TV. Help?

If you have the remote, simply go into the audio menu and check TV speakers. If you don't then you'll have to either purchase a duplicate remote or find a universal which will allow you to access the audio menu of the TV. I'm afraid there's no other way that I know of. Good luck. So, you have no sound at all on the TV as is, correct?

Hi, I bought a teac dvd and 5 speaker surround sound system yesterday. I am having trouble setting it up. I want to run the TV sound through it as well, but at the moment it is only going through the sub...

Whoa,ok.Sounds like things aren't connected properly. The first step is to disconnect the TV and concentrate on getting sound from a dvd or cd.Read the owners manual and double check that the speakers are hooked up correctly and that the unit is in the correct surround mode.Next, connect the TV.Use an RCA cable to go from an "Audio out" jack on the TV to an input jack on the Teac -e.g. "Aux, TV, etc.If your TV doesn't have the proper jack, I'm afraid you're out of luck.

Help with AG-D9320

These recievers are prime for running surround sound through you TV. It all depends on your TV service, Now if you have a cable box from Dish network, this is the easiest in the world, all you need to look for is an output labeled "OPTICAL OUT". It's a small port with probably a small glowing red light coming out of it. You'll need to buy and optical cable and plug it in there, and then run the other end to the optical input of your surround sound reciever, and then assign a video input to that digital audio signal. It's the best audio you can get by far.

Now if you down't have that, it is still very easy. Find you reciever look for a video input and plug an audio cable in(Red and White cable). Plug the other end into your TV's audio output, a red and white output that is probably labeled audio out, plug that in, switch TV to whatever you are viewing, turn on the reciever to whichever input you assigned and there you go.

If your TV doesn't have an audio output, then you need to go to your cable or sattleite box, and find the audio output, the R/W(Red & white), and run that out to your reciever, the sound won't come through the tv unless you run a second audio out from the reciever into you tv's audio input on the same signal your picture is coming from.

I hope that helps.
