Saeco Talea Ring Plus not frothing milk

Not frothing - neither from wand nor from milk island:
Our last year at this time new Saeco Talea Ring Plus stopped frothing very early only, but then sometimes would froth milk at random. We tried different kinds of milk, but found that the milk had nothing to do with it. Wand and milk island only heat the milk, don't froth anymore at all. We just got our Saeco back from repair by Saeco customer service in OH, but nothing changed. The problem is exactly the same. (by the way: Our old Saeco frothes the same kind of milk very well.)

We have recently purchased a Talea Ring with EXACTLY the same problem when bought from new. Why hasnt anyone answered your question I wonder? Is this a design fault in the Talea? My old Breville which cost $130 frothed milk great.

We recently purchased the Talea Ring Plus and it was frothing milk great for the first week. All of a sudden, it stopped..... We use the same milk so it's not that. Any help would be appreciated.

What is the purpose of the 3rd position on the steam knob. no info in manual

The 3rd position on the steam knob is for a separate item call a 'Milk Island" which has a small jug attachment that you put milk into and then froths up for cappucinos. It is fantastic and works 10 times better than the steamer wand. It does a great job with lite milk. Item is sold separately, don't know how much it is as I got it as a gift. Hope that helps you.

The tap in many of the Talea ring models is a dodgy plastic thing. It breaks pretty easily. You can replace them (with a more sturdy metal one that they use these days) but getting the cover off is pretty tricky. Best to get a service guy to do it

On my talea ring plus i get an error code 5. anybody knows what that is?

Error 5 is the water circuit is block, or airlock in the system that means you have to purge the air out.

Saeco Talea Giro no steam or water from spout

I have the same problem as well, talked to a repair shop and it's definitely a "send in" or warranty repair. I was told it's an o-ring issue. I have no water coming out of the steam wand and it goes into the dispense tray instead.

Milk island seems to leak water. After milk is frothed and island has been detached fro some time, a pool of water forms under the base of the milk island attachment and on top of it.

Milk island on a vienna class?
Perhaps its a Saeco Talea you have, correct?

First remember that after foaming your milk and have turned the knob back to´off location. wait until you hear a clicking sound from the machine, might take 2 -5 seconds after it set to off.
Then remove the milk container

That sound means it has close 100% and shouldent leak.

If it still leaks after that its the gaskets in the T-pipe that needs to be changed.

Coffee maker

Hi,

I think that the electric board in milk island is gone and have to be replaced. If the milk island is leaking then it goes into the milk island and you get a short circuit:-(
