How do you fax and copy legal sized paper on the 3325?

You can either copy the legal size document at 87% to bring it down to A4 and then fax it, or you should be able to go into the fa settings when you go to fax the document and a resizing/zoom option should be there for you to change the size to 87%....

me too having same problem in MS Office..but finally i observed sometimes paper sizes or faulty..so try to reduce the paper size..

This is for a temporary, as needed solution: Press "Menu/Set" button. Select "General Setup". Scroll down and select "Paper Size", find and select "Legal" size. Press Menu/Set button again. Press "Stop/Exit" button.
Insert legal size paper to be copied on the feeder tray and put a legal size paper in the Manual slot. Hit "Print"
You need to do these same steps again to return the settings to Letter size again.

Use the settings to select LGL as the paper size. (But note that you have to have legal size paper in the machine)

1. Press the Function key (left side, lower right button)
2. Press the Start/Copy key (right side, lower center button). The display will show USER SETTINGS.
3. Press the Left or Right arrows (right side, upper row) until you see PRINTER SETTINGS in the LCD.
4. Press the Start/Copy key
5. Press the Left or Right arrows until you see PAPER SIZE in the LCD.
6. Press the Start/Copy key
7. Press the Left or Right arrows until you see LGL
8. Press the Start/Copy key
9. Press the Stop key (right side, lower right button).

The receiving fax must have legal size paper available and their machine set to auto reduction.

What's the question? You can send a fax on legal size exactly as you do with lettersize. As for printing, you only have 1 size of paper available at a time (1 paper source) , so put legal in it if you want.

In general, the fax machine in the all-in-one product doesn't need a computer to work. It works just like a stand alone fax machine. You shouldn't have to scan anything in from the scanner in order to fax. Just put the sheet of paper you want to fax into the product's feeder and follow the fax instructions (see the link I posted above).

As long as the product has electric power and is connected to a phone jack, it should work out OK.

As far as legal papers, if you mean legal sized papers, it should work as long as the product supports the paper size you want to use. You can get that on the product specifications web page at HP.

Have you tried placing legal size paper in your machine?
Also check the user settings. I am pretty sure there is an option to shut down the automatic reduction for legal size paper.

Make sure the rear guide is pushed up tight against the paper.

Remove all legal size paper and make a copy.

You have to go into the menu and change the setting to Legal.
