Probably niether is ground. This is a condenser microphone and MUST be used with the amplifier and power supply in the body of the tube. Condenser mics use a high voltage bias and an amplifier with an input impedance often around 1 Gigaohm... very, very high impedance. You can probably reconnect the wires either way and test for operation. If both ways work, then polarity of the output signal would just be reversed is all. The impedance is so high that most meters would not register a voltage between the connections on the power supply but if yours will, connect the red to the positive.

I disconnected and reconnected the cobra 29 nw ltd classic and now my voice is heard very low and slow it was working fine just before disconnection. can you help

How did you disconnect it?? Antenna wire?? Power supply?? Microphone?? May be that you have a short in your coax in back of radio. Try taking it loose and screw it back in. Try new coax. Turn up Mic gain knob or change microphone. Make sure power wires are connected RED to RED(+) and Black to Black(-). Try grounding radio to metal ; if inside house ground to metal water pipes, filing cabinet, breaker box or meter box or 8 foot rod into earth. Measure SWR it should read 1.1 to 1.5. Measure power supply with Voltmeter it should be 12 to 15 volts. Check antenna plug in back of radio is my guess or microphone itself.

Microphone is brand new but won't work on the computer...

Be sure to use phantom power (48V), as this microphone (condenser type) requires it for use. Hope this helps.

Wire Colour coding for Behringer C1 Microphone

It is likely that the brown goes to pin 1 (ground/shield phantom -) as well as the black.

Red is likely to go to pin 2 (across from 1)(signal +)
and the orange to pin 3 (signal -)

Recently I dropped my Beta 87A mic and the 2 wires that connect the mic itself came disconnected from the mic. I want to know how to resolder the mic. Thanks in advance. Norbert

I take it they are the wires to the diaphragm not the cable (XLR) connector.Be very carefull when soldering the wires back on. A small solder iron with a pointed tip works best. The positve terminal should be marked with a small red dot.The red wire goes there and the black on the negative. Be carefull and take your time.
