How to change ink in HP Deskjet F480 printer???

  • Check the ink levels by opening the HP Solution Center. Click on "Settings." Click on "Toolbox." Click on "Services." Click on "Service this device." Click on "Estimated Ink Levels." A graphic will appear showing the estimated ink level in each cartridge.
  • 2 Verify that the unit is on. Open the print cartridge door allowing the print carriage to move to the far right side of the unit. Once the print carriage has stopped, lightly press down on a print cartridge to release it. Pull the print cartridge toward you out of its slot. To replace the tri-color print cartridge, remove the print cartridge from the slot on the left. To replace the black or photo print cartridge, remove the print cartridge from the slot on the right. Place the cartridge in a plastic bag as it may still contain some residual ink and may leak.
  • 3 Remove the new print cartridge from its packaging. Remove the plastic tape by using the pull tab, being careful to not touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles under tape.
  • 4 Slide the new print cartridge forward into the empty slot. Gently push the upper part of the print cartridge until it clicks into place. The tri-color print cartridge fits into the left slot. The black or photo print cartridge fits into the right slot.
  • 5 Close the print cartridge door. If the print cartridge alignment sheet prints, load it on the left front corner of the scanner glass with the top of the page to the left. Verify that there is plain paper loaded in the input tray, and then press the "Scan" button to align the printer.

My hp deskjet f4140 keeps showing a paper jam and won't print the page I need, there isn't a paper jam.

There is probably a problem with the position of the cartridge carriage. Try reinstalling the cartridge and make sure that the carriage is in the center of the cartridge access area and the center of the cartridge assembly bar. If it is not try moving the cartridge assembly in either direction and restore the printer for printing. Note any sounds as the cartridge attempts to go to its home position. Any grinding noise may indicate that the position of the cartridge needs to be adjusted. Be patient and adjust the cartridge position again until no grinding sounds are heard. It may help to unplug the printer for 30 seconds between adjustments. Good Luck!

Hp Deskjet 845C - Yellow Colour not Printing

I found this post to work for me when yellow was not printing on my HP PSC750 after using 2 cartridges: "Well if you want to damage your printer use alcohol. But if you want to make it work then pull the cartridge from the printer and run hot water on a couple of paper towels leaving alot of hot water in the towels. Put some thing under them to keep them from staining your counter top and then set the cartridge down onto the hotwater towel and let the hot water melt away the dry ink and in minutes you may be printing again if this is what it is. Be sure and use a dry paper towel to wipe off the ecess wet before you reinstall the cartridge."

    Problem printing photos

When printing a photo make sure that your quality is set on best and not normal.

Also check the ink level on your colour and black cartridges and make sure it is sufficient.

Last but not least if you are using remanufactured or refilled cartridges this is a common problem. The cartridges are not made for the printer or they have been refilled and they now have blocked printheads and the ink is doing interesting things. If you buy a real hp cartridge and it should clear the issue up.

    Deskjet f340

You have a paper jam. get a torch and thoroughly check doen behind unit where paper goes after removing all paper. Oopen cover, let carriage move, once settled, check everywhere her too, all around, rollers, near carriage, teeth, sides, etc, and remember it can be the tiniest slip easily missed. Good luck.
