Is there another site (mirror site) that has these chipsets? The one from Asus goes at 8-13 kb/s or none at all.

Yeah, i have the same problem. The DVD ASUS included was bad, and now I'm looking at almost five hours to download the 477MB file, and the download keeps crapping out on me.

This is the Asus site for Windows Vista drivers for your board; if you are using a different o/s then you can change it on the top of the page & it will list the drivers for that o/s. Hope this helps & please take a moment to rate this solution fixya. Thanks.

I bought asus m3a78-cm board with via on board audio, with vista no problem occurred but with window 7 the problem started. everytime i on my pc, i will install again the audio driver. the problem repeated...

is this windows 7 32-bit OR 64-bit
you will need 64 drivers for all your hardware if you have migrated from a 32 to 64 bit operating system.
Windows7 64 bit still has some major bugs with certain sound cards.
Asus has updated drivers available at thier website, but they dont have them for all hardware, just the most current.
Hope this helps, post again if i can answer any more questions..
Regards!

Suggest Asus mother board

depending on the type of system you might want.
mid class with 4 to 8 gb ram I would choose M3A78-CM. Its a UATX (small platform) but its really stable.

upper class if you plan to use above 8gb ram. I would choose M4N78 PRO. It gives you a more PCI slots over the M3A78-CM and just as stable.

Videocard not working

Try removing the new card, booting into BIOS, change your video setting the slot of your card: I believe your card is PCI-E, save changes and exit. When it starts to reboot, turn the computer off, install the new card and then try rebooting again. You may also have to boot into Safe Mode\Uninstall the original video driver or disable that video component and then try rebooting your system.
