I recently aqquired two dell servers (tenants were throwing them out and I can't pass up on any computer stuff that's free) anyway the have windows server 2000 on them, but they have passwords covering all admin accounts. windows boots up and I can't get past the password. I tried the other admin account (f8 at bootup) it's locked too. The tenants are now gone, and I would like to keep the windows server 2000 OS on there, is there an answer without having to buy software to recover password or re install OS? I even tried running windows XP pro, but it won't install cause it can't see the two hard drives (logical drives). Please help
Google "oph Live cd"
download
burn to a cd
make sure your cd drive is the first boot option
boot from the cd
let it run
the program will run a password cracker on it. shouldn't take more than 30 minutes.
If they are Dell they likely have the licence key sticker on them.
Get a Windows server 2000 CD(you can download it and it will be legal if you instal it with a purchased licence key.) and perform a clean install of it using the licence key on the sticker of each server.
there are many ways, I suggest you to use bittorrent together with a torrent search engine website.
a good small bittorrent client is utorrent,
a good search engine is thepiratebay.org watch out though, there is a lot of illegal and/or copyright protected material on it, you are not doing anything illegal if you just dowload the .iso image, burn it, and install it with a legal licence key.
you can dowload utorrent from its official website: google it.
and BTW thanks for the bad rating.
