There is another page, acting more like a directed intercom page...

If you want to talk to someone and you know where they are (general area) you can do a FEATURE 6 6 and the extension number.

This is a direct page and when you page this way, that person can respond back and you can hear them.

Depends if your talking about internal or external paging both can be done with feature 60 then pressing 1 for sets 2 for external speakers or 3 for both. you can also use the shortcut codes which are feature 611 for internal (if zone 1) or feature 62 for external page.
hope that helps

Sounds like the FNA (forward no answer) on the phone is not setup.

Press feature **266344, then the installer password. Under Terminals and Sets, CFNA is under Capabilities.

Press Ftr985, and in the display you will see the Vmail DN. Enter Norstar programming and make sure the problem DN is CFNA to Vmail DN.

Let me know, once done so that we could proceed.

Hope i helped you.

Norstar meridian 7208 won't ring.

Does it ring when you move it to a known ringing port? Is it programmed to ring (Terminals & Sets) Appear and Ring? Do you have Automatic Set Relocation turned on so the extension number stays with the phone?

There are a lot of features to check for ringing, including the volume of the set.

Phone will not ring

It's RINGING now! I followed the Set Programming instruction in our manual. It's in Configuration 3-21. It's a very old old Operator guide.
I am trying to find it online. In the mean time you can use the M7208 Phone Adminitration Overlay over the keys and program your phone by pressing Feature **266344
Here is a link to the overlay
Good Luck.
