Random interference problem with Shure UR4D

I would need to hear it to be completely sure (does it sound a little bit like slow morse code?), but it sounds like what you're hearing is probably cell phone interference. Certain cell phones are more likely to cause it (anything with PTT capability) because of their transmitter power, but any cell phone close enough to the receiver could give you grief. If you're playing in unpredictable places, try to get the antennae well overhead of the audience, with a straight shot to the transmitters, and as close as is reasonably possible.

I have a shure UT4 reciever, what microphone that will work for that type of reciever? my was lost, thanks

Only a UT transmitter will work with that receiver. The transmitter must be on the exact same frequency as the receiver. Shure discontinued the UT series several years ago, so it will not be easy to find one.

I bought a new T2 SM 58 Shure Microphone with freq. 171.845 Need a receiver. Don't know where to go.

Unfortunately, there are no new receivers available that can be used. You'll have to try to find a used Shure receiver on that exact frequency.
