Hello G Rego - The range may be reset by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes, turn on the range and select bake or broil option. Should all troubleshooting measures fail, I would strongly recommend consulting a professional to move forward accurately. The range could possibly be experiencing a wiring failure, EOC (electronic oven control), sensor probe and/or faulty element(s). You can often local service providers by visiting the manufacturer website.

SOURCE: Frigidaire Smooth Top Range/Oven stopped working

Hello all with this oven not working problem!!! I had this happen and I found exactly what causes this to fail. The circuits operate in the following manner... The oven is controlled by a double pole single throw heavy relay (wired as a single pole single throw or simple off/on relay) that supplies power to 2 other relays.. The oven relay is a double pole double throw relay (6 contacts 12 volt coil, ) it is normally open circuit, that is when the main relay turns on the power goes to the oven relay but no further. The other sie of the oven relay is wired to a second relay connected to the broil element that is normally open circuit with the other side of the DPDT relay going to Leg 2 120 volts. So in normal off mode the broiler is connected to the one side of the relay, common is connected to Leg 2 and the other side of the relay is connected to the other side of the oven relay.
SO when you call for the Bake Oven element, the power goes through the main relay to the oven relay, the oven relay clicks and now connects the oven relay to the set of contacts on the broiler relay that is connected to Leg 2- now the oven turns on. When you ask for broil the oven relay turns off and the broiler relay tirns on connecting the broiler to leg 2 (bypassing the oven relay.
I know its long winded but basically to operate the oven the power goes through 3 relays where the broiler only uses 2 of the relays (not the oven relay) Kinda dumb way to do it I suppose BUT the idea is to never have a situation where the oven and broiler can be on at the same time.
Heres what happened with my oven.. the broiler relay failed (broke internally) and the common contact shorted across both of the other terminals momentarily turning on BOTH elements, the sudden inrush of current literally exploded the output contact on the main relay and vaporizing the lead, trace and solder joint.
It was a mess... badly burned.. I found a new relay (omron) to replace the main relay.. but the other 2 were Omrons that I could not find replacements for (12 volt coils is the issue) So I did find some potter brumfield relays that were rated 10 amps per pole so I wired these externally from the timer board (ran wires to them) (doubled up so each relay was using both sides in parallel so it can handle 20 amps) The elements only use about 8 amps each anyways this worked great and since the new relays are on spade terminals with quick disconnects, are easy to swap out of they fry again (doubtful) Its a forgone conclusion these timers are ready to fry at any time and I can almost guarantee the WILL blow.. the relays arent very heavy duty at all... I would not buy another of these.. pretty weak control.. expecially these small relays.
Good luck in your repair.. a new timer was 300 my repair was 50 and WILL NOT fail like theirs did.
Cheers
Dave

Richard, sounds like you did all the pretests. You'll need a new display panel. When you work on it, be sure to cut the power.

SOURCE: Broiling works but baking does not work

CHECK FOR 240VOLTS AT THE TERMINALS OF THE BAKE ELEMENT. GAIN ACCESS BY REMOVING THE BACK PANEL OF THE RANGE. SOMETIMES THE TERMINAL WILL BURN OFF OF THE WIRE GOING TO THE ELEMENT. THE WIRE WILL JUST BE HANGING THERE. BE SURE TO UNPLUG THE OVEN BEFORE REMOVING BACK PANEL. IF THE WIRE IS BURNT, REPLACE THE TERMINAL AND REATTACH TO THE ELEMENTS TERMINAL. IF THE TERMINAL IS DAMAGED, REPLACE BAKE ELEMENT.
IF THERE IS NO VOLTAGE TO THE ELEMENT, REPLACE CONTROL.

SOURCE: Baking element

Pull the two screws out of the element (on the back wall) Turn the power off to the oven and then pull the two terminals off the element. Then check the ohms on the element. If no ohms change the element and your fixed. The element is usually always the problem. You can get the element at your local parts store, or at sears online via model number. If you go to your local parts store take the element with you and the model number.

How do I turn the volume down or turn off the beep from my Frigidaire Gallery 5.0 cu. ft. Gas Range when the oven reaches its intended temperature?

As copied from the manual.

Setting a silent control panel
When choosing a function, a beep will be heard each time a pad is pressed. If desired, the control can be programmed for silent operation. Press and hold (start/time) . After 7 seconds, the control will beep once. This will block the controls from sounding when a pad is pressed. To return the sound, press and hold (start/time) again for 7 seconds until the control beeps once

NOTE!
The OVEN indicator light on the electronic display will turn ON and OFF when using the Bake feature and during preheat. This is normal and indicates that the oven is cycling to maintain the selected baking temperature. When the preheat indicator light turns OFF, your oven is ready.

How to turn on electric frigidaire oven; fgf337gud?

Good Morning Friend,

I understand you want to know how to turn on the oven on your Frigidaire range, model# FGF337GUD. First, make sure you have set the clock. You will do this by pressing the "Clock Set" button and then press and hold down the up or down arrows, until the correct time shows. After you have set the clock, you are ready to turn your oven on.

To set the temperature for your oven, you will press the "Bake" button and three dashes will appear. Press the up and down arrows to change the temperature. Note: The temperature will begin at a default temperature of 350 degrees. Once you have released the up or down arrow, your oven will begin heating to the selected temperature. When your oven reaches the desired temperature, it will beep once.

To cancel the baking function, you will press the "Clear/Off" button.

If you wish to change the temperature after baking has begun, you will press the bake button again, and then change the temperature by pressing the up or down arrows to either increase or decrease the temperature.

I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your air conditioner status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

Frigidaire CFEF366GSA unlock oven door

Good Morning Friend,

I see that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire range, model# CFEF366GSA, and the oven door staying locked. I would start by pressing and holding down the "Clear/Off" button for 5-10 seconds. This should unlock the oven door.

If this does not work, I suggest giving your range a hard reset. You can do this by either unplugging it or cutting the power at the circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes.

After restoring power you will need to reset the clock. You will do this by entering in the time and pressing start.

If the door still has not unlocked, I would suggest contacting either the manufacturer or a local authorized technician. Hope this helps.

The oven wont heat up.

Hi.

Since the oven has two heating elements, if the oven does not heat up on any condition, and both broiling and baking element are not working, then the most common fault causing the problem is a faulty temperature probe.

The temperature probe is located inside the oven cavity.
On most ovens there is only one temperature sensor, connected in line on the circuit from electronic oven control to baking and broiling element.
When the probe fails, it will affect both baking and broiling function.

The temperature probe is tested reaching the probe, cutting or disconnecting its wiring, and testing the probe at room temperature, with a multimeter set on impedance at Rx1. If the multimeter reads no continuity (circuit open), then the probe must be replaced.

If the temperature probe is good, then parts that may be responsible for the fault are oven electronic control and wiring. Having both elements failing at the same time would be rather unusual.

If only one element is failing, then the fault is probably the element. In that case you can test the element removing it from the cavity, and testing Ohms on the element. If circuit is open , then the element must be replaced.

Regards.
