I need cotton striped female pyjamas. any ideas where to go look?

You can't. Best option is not to mix colors with white when doing hot wash. Generally colors on own go well with cold wash with the right detergent. When you get new colored clothes like pyjamas rinse separately overnight to get non fast colors out and then put in the general laundry. But always keep whites on separate wash.

Most likely the head is dirty.
You need a head cleaning tape.
We clean them by lightly rubbing up and down (not sideways as you could dislodge the head) on the head with a cotton bud damp with petrol note damp not soaking wet.
The head is located in the gap of the silver drum accessed via the cassette eject cover.

If you have a female harness to connect to the veicle side you will pretty much color match. The only exception is that you may only have an amp turn on wire but only a power antenna on the vehicle. In this case you would connect blue w/white stripe wire from radio harness to the blue antenna wire on the vehicle side.

If you are doing a hardwire (factory plug has been cut off) you can obtain a wiring code for your vehicle at www.the12volt.com for most vehicles.

if you are getting stripes in photos then there is a problem with cartrige, take a cotton swab and dip it in water and clean the cartridge head and then try, and if still the same problem exist replace the color cartrige.

Just cut the strap out. It will be much cheaper to cut a silly strap than to need a repair person or ruin the seal in the agitator. this is not a problem worth fooling with. you must be a female.

Have you tried to do a cleaning of the color heads. Use a cotton swab, the same kind you use to clean your ears with rubbing alchy on it an clean the heads of the color injectors. If this dose not correct the problem then try changing out cartrages. IE if it is a grey stripe change out your black ink. If it is a pink stripe change out the color ink.
