Tracks played in wrong order

I load a chapter at a time of any audiobook by dragging the folder from my computer to the Sony Walkman NWZ-S616F MP3.
The tracks appear to be in the right order, but when I listened to the book, it frequently plays them as this:
track 1 - TRACK 4 - track 5 - track 6 - etc.
Any advce on how to solve this problem? Thank you.
Eduardo

The Sony NWZ-S616F (4 GB) sometimes plays the musical tracks out of sequence. To check if the tracks are being played correctly, press the down arrow key ↓ at any time until the name of the book or music is selected. Then press the ► button and the tracks will show up. If they are in wrong order, select track 1 and press ►.

I can't get audiobooks to play the chapters in the right order - it's driving me mad! Help please...

sounds like it is playing in random mode. you may be able to change in 'settings.'

if not, maybe the files are out of order...depending on how they are named, it could be causing issues.

What driver do i use for my sony mp4 player... model number nwz-s616f.. please help me

Hi,
It is not required to install any Driver for connecting the Walkman Player to the Computer. The Driver for recognizing the Walkman Player as a MTP Device is already installed in the Computer. You can install the supplied Windows Media Player 11 Software for transferring the files to the Player. You can either Drag and Drop the files using the Windows Explorer to the MUSIC Folder which appears as a Removable Drive or can use the Windows Media Player 11 for transferring. If the Player is not recognized by the Computer, try connecting to different USB ports and try re-installing the USB Driver from the Device Manager.

How can I find instructions for recording and playing audio books on my newly purchased Sony Walkman?

if your recording your audio books from cd, then they should be put into tracks, just make sure to put a number before any actual text (the first part of the book labled 01 - audiobookname) and it should play them in order. if its a file over an hour long i would look for software to break up the file into smaller (more digestable) segments. its a software limitation of the sony network walkmans that has gone back since the beginning of the network walkman product line.

however, guessing that these are downloaded audio books mostlikely, it then becomes a conversion problem.

i did a google search for
audiobook to mp3 converter
and found a few things, but all those solutions wouldnt help much here. your looking for something fast easy and free.... i'm still searching for a solution that includes the free... but for the meantime see if this helps you

Sony walkman will not recognise VLC files

Sony Walkman will accept converted video file and it's format should be MPG-4 or MP4. other format will no be played and be sure you have to put that in your "Video" folder of your Walkman.

I dont know how to load video to my walkman

You need to find what video type it supports first and either convert it if need be. You should then be able to drag and drop it to the video folder on your walkman when you have it plugged into your PC. i.e. open the walkman device on your PC and navigate to the video folder, open the folder that you have stored your video in on the PC, and drag it across to the walkman's folder.
