The disk-drive inside the enclosure is malfunctioning.
Disassemble the enclosure, and remove the disk-drive.
Take the drive to any computer store, and buy a compatible drive -- same size, same interface (SATA? IDE?).
Then "transplant" it into the enclosure,
to "reconstitute" your external storage device.
Hi:
This means that when you reformat your system, any documents, pictures, or favorite places will be wiped off the computer, and will not be on the computer after the reformat is completed. To save your personal info, you need to copy it before you reformat.
If you don't have anything on the computer that you want to save, it isn't a problem!
In Device Manager (right-click My Computer / Properties / sound, video and game controllers) click on the + to open up and look at the details of drivers, codecs, etc. If you see a yellow warning on one of these deal with that issue (a possible solution is to re-install or update the drivers for the audio card). Right-clicking on the individual details may give an option to ...update driver.
Don't buy the card.First Try to install it's driver.Tell me sound card's name and it's model by opening Pc's cassing i will give the direct link of it's driver over internet. It can be integrated or Built-out card. If you can't do so get the help of your buddy
please define "reformat". A reformat to me means a complete "renewal" of both hard drive and op sys. If you agree, then windows did not detect your sound card during re-install. Open device manager and look for ant yellow markings next to the list of the sound system drivers. Those markings are telling you there is a driver problem, so proceed to update the drivers for each device. (for help-post back). If no devices exist in the list, then you must do the following:
1.) if secondary "plug-in" sound card, power down, remove card, power up to windows, shut down windows, plug in card, start windows.
2.) if MOBO-based sound, open BIOS screen at startup and ensure that all options are enabled for sound.
