When i press continue it turns the laptop off
SOURCE: Acer Laptop keyboard problem
I have a similar question. A long while back my down arrow key was completely broken off only
leaving a missing whole spot and It can't be used. Now as of recently
It seems to be affecting my other arrow keys. A few days ago when I
restarted my computer It would stop at the opening load page and just
repeatedly sound off like an alarm or a key being held down repeatedly.
I have to continue pushing enter or any other key in order for It to
stop and continue the startup. Today when I restarted It repeated the
same thing above but this time when I logged in anything I clicked
automatically scrolled from top to bottom over and over again and there
was no way to stop It. No matter what I clicked It would do this. I now
have a wireless internet keyboard using a usb port but It is still
making the same noises when I restart. How do I disable my acer laptop
keyboard?
P.S. I'm sorry for the very long question.

SOURCE: How can i reboot my laptop?
It is either not seeing the HDD and/or the boot sector on the hdd has been damaged. Any repair you do will only be possible after you boot to an environment. If you can get a bootable CD made, that would be one option. Bootable USB is another. Once booted, you will then be able to examine the HDD to see what the problem is.
Does the bios show a HDD at all?
Hello, here are the steps to resetting your computer.
Reinstall Windows from a Disk
1 Turn on your Toshiba Satellite. Insert your
recovery disk or the original Windows operating system DVD
into the Satellite's
CD/DVD drive. Turn off the computer.
2 Turn on the Toshiba Satellite. In the first
few seconds while it is starting up, press and hold the F12 key on your
keyboard to access the Boot Menu. (Note: Some Toshiba models may tell you to
press "C" to boot
from the CD-ROM). The screen will display boot for
this boot up session only.
3 Use the arrow keys to navigate. Select the
CD-ROM/DVD drive to highlight it. Press "Enter." Be aware that this
setting is for this session only; it is not a permanent change.
4 Allow the computer to start up. Follow the onscreen
instructions for reinstalling the operating system from the disk.
Reinstall from a Recovery Partition
1 Boot up the Toshiba Satellite. In the first
few seconds while it is starting up, press and hold the F8 key. This will begin
the "Advanced Boot Options" menu.
2 Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate
the menu. Move the keys to select "Repair Your Computer." Press
"Enter."
3 Select your language and keyboard; click
"Next."
4 Select your Windows user name from the
drop-down menu. Enter your password if required. Click "OK." This
will begin the "System Recovery Options" menu.
5 Select the Toshiba Recovery Wizard and follow
the onscreen instructions. The Toshiba Recovery Wizard will delete all existing
data on the hard drive and reinstall Windows.
Hope this helps!
