Reseat the RAM.
Sometimes the RAM needs reseating because the RAM module/s are not making proper electrical contact with the motherboard.
If this doesn't work then :-
The RAM module/s could be faulty, if you have two RAM modules, remove the both modules and insert one at a time and bootup you computer to test them to determine the faulty RAM module.

I'm thinking its the battery. Heat kills batteries. You said it wont jump start. That's a dead ringer for a bad battery. It may have enough juice to power some things, but wont run the starter, or the fuel pump, or the ignition(spark). Try a new battery and let me know!

Problem may be a simle matter of the battery contacts needing to be adjusted so they make better contact for charging and use. Use a needle and ~GENTLY~ raise contact bars on either laptop or battery.

You need to replace your old battery. Don't over charged your battery. If you are using your laptop in your house it is better not to use it with battery. Just use the power adaptor/supply only. Then make sure you will drain the battery let say once a week. =)

Verify that the light on the power block is green with the cable only connected to the wall. If the light goes out when it's connected to the PC the your motherboard is bad.

My Laptop wont power on

Hi
Since your computer is not starting up at all its probably not a problem in the hard drive (where the files are stored) It is most likely a problem in the motherboard. Try removing the battery and ac then plug in the ac and try starting up, is the ac working? do you have a power light on the laptop that turns on when you plug in the ac adapter?\
If you don\t have a power light you need to get the ac adapter tested if the adapter is fine then most likely the issue is in the motherboard.

This seems to be a old problem and if you don\t need assistance in solving it. It would be great if you would share to the world how you fixed your problem so other users can benefit from your experience.

Thank you,
