Change battery pack - Canon PowerShot SX210 IS Digital Camera

Go to the Black and Decker site (it won't let me it here) and you can see the diagram showing how to disassemble the unit. The battery pack is part of the motor and they are charging $56.39 for.

If u want to change battery then what's the problem in it.You can get fresh battery pack from service center.

How to Calibrate laptop battery
To Calibrate laptop battery pack, you must fully charge, fullydischarge, and then fully recharge the battery pack.

Discharging the Battery Pack Disabling Hibernation
To fully discharge the battery pack, disable Hibernation temporarily.
To disable Hibernation:
? Select the Power Meter icon on the taskbar or access Power Options > Hibernate, and clear the Enable Hibernate support check box.

To fully discharge the battery pack:
1. Select the Power Meter icon on the taskbar, or select Start > Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > Power Options > Power Schemes.
2. Write down the 3 settings in the Plugged In column and the
3. settings in the Running on Batteries column, so you can reset them after calibration.
4. Select the drop-down lists and set all 6 options in both columns to Never.
5. Select the OK button.
6. Disconnect the notebook from the external power source, but do not turn off the notebook.
7. Run the notebook on battery power until the battery pack is fully discharged. The battery light begins to blink when the battery pack has discharged to a low-battery condition. When the battery pack is fully discharged, the power/Standby light turns off and the notebook shuts down.

I know this thread is old, but I just had to change the battery pack in mine. I could not locate a 4 pin battery pack so here's what I did:

You'll need: 3 NiMH 1.2v AA solder tab batteries, Razor blade, #1 Phillips driver, Kapton tap (standard electrical tape will do), soldering gun/iron, spare 18awg wire
1. Use a razor blade to remove the black sticker from the bottom of the flashlight base, it covers the magnets
2. remove the three outer phillips screws (the inner ones hold the magnets in and can stay installed)
3. Pull off the bottom plate
4. Pull out the battery pack and disconnect it from the flashlight at the 4-pin queeze connector
5. Remove the outer wrap and end protectors from the old pack keeping the end protectors in tact
6. Assemble the 3 new batteries in the same configuration as the old pack using Kapton tape, connecting + to - at the same two spots (use the old pack as a reference)
7. Carefully desolder the 2 wire leads from the old battery pack
8. connect up the 2 power wires to the same two spots as the old pack and insert the temperature probe between two of the batteries as in the old pack
9. Put the end caps on the new pack and wrap the entire thing in Kapton tape to simulate the plastic wrapper you removed
10. Install pack in to base, secure bottom plate and re-adhere black sticker(if needed you can use non-foam double-sided tape or spray adhesive)

The old pack was rated at 1300mAh and I used three 2000mAh each for a total of 6000mAh so theoretically the light should run for about 6 times as long between charges.

The battery is part of the replaceable photo pack, but as they're no longer made you can't get them any more. All remaining photo packs are long out of date and the batteries are now usually totally dead or only have enough power for a couple of shots at best.

There is an exception to all this though, a company has started making new photo packs but they're only in monochrome (black and white), the chemistry is unstable so the photos may continue to change or fade for months after being exposed, and you only get 8 shots per pack instead of the usual 10. The company also claims to sell original guaranteed 10 shot Polaroid photo packs, but are always listed as out of stock.

Change the photo pack. That's where the battery is located, you get a fresh battery with every pack.

Note that all remaining photo packs are now beyond their expiry dates as production ceased last year so many will have flat batteries or batteries with insufficient charge to last for the full ten shots. There's no fix for this: all that can be done is to rig up an external battery pack but there is no standard kit for this so it's very much a DIY project. the camera draws 4.5v and the standard battery was 6v when freshly manufactured.

sir/mam you`re battery pack is need to re-pack or change the Battery pack.if you want to safe and long life Battery Pack if you use the unit inside youre house use only a charger then remove the battery pack from unit do not use both supply,like a battery with charger.if baterry full only battery,if you charge the battery charge only..

Battery is built into the film pack. That's the only battery for the camera. A dead battery renders any remaining shots unusable. To change the battery, you need a new film pack, which is getting difficult to find these days.
