My camera was doing that too. I discovered that if I push the door of the battery compartment down hard the camera will work. I now have to rubberband the battery door so the batteries won't fall out....but now I have full use of my camera.

HI, The window regulator on this model is a cable driven type and if the cable breaks or becomes unwound the window can fall down into the door. Sound like its time for a new regulator. If your handy its not a real hard task. Hope this helps

sounds like one or both of your door links are broken check your hinges. you should ahave a large spring and a piece of rope that attaches to the door. let me know if this helps you

window regulator has failed. Look for an after market one the GM replacement is junk. Usually it is a clip that holds the cable to run window up and down. probably a safety clip used if someone gets cought in the window, GM will charge you over $400 for the fix. not hard I have it down to about 30 min. and around $100 for the regulator.

well i dont haVe that preoblem, you cant expect things to be free, the problem i had was the window will stay up or down sometimes but with a little force it works maybe someone spilled coffee or something on it, just dont slam your doors or pull them shut too hard

on the right hand side of the door chute there is a little metal barrel that needs to be attached to the end of the arm that holds the ice door. this is attached to the spring that opens and closes the door chute.

behind the lock cyl. is a snap ring if you shine a mirror up at it you will see it p.s you would want to put a rag down in the door covering up the gap when you pull the snap ring out it will fall down toward that gap if it falls in that gap it is hard to get out
