It could be a yeast bread as well as a quick bread. The chocolate could be baking cocoa, or melted into the dough, or added whole, in the form of chips or segments. Sometimes unsweetened Dutch-processed baking cocoa is used to darken savory breads such as black rye.

Bakers who make the French dessert bread, "pain au chocolat,''' place special sticks of semisweet chocolate, designed for such purposes, in the middle of the roll before baking. It is popular to use croissant dough for this recipe.

Chocolate bread is a sweet bread (but it doesn't have to be overly sweet) that is flavored by chocolate. It can be made with chocolate and or nut pieces in and can be eaten as is, or with butter as a dessert or a tea time snack.

What else can you do with a waffle iron?

not much as it depends on the machine and your imagination
one suggestion is "toad in the hole"
take a slice of bread and cut a round hole in the centre, crack an egg in the hole and close up the halves
cook until the egg yolk is too your liking
there will be books available on what to do with the machine

What is the difference between hot chocolate and cocoa powder?

Although the two names of drinks are used interchangeably, hot chocolate is a drink that's either made from real chocolate melted into milk or with packet hot chocolate powder. Cocoa powder is unsweetened and needs to be combined with sugar to create a sweeter drink.

In general hot chocolate is richer and sweeter than hot cocoa.

Does hot chocolate have caffeine in it? I am looking for alternatives to coffee and tea.

Cocoa solids in chocolate do contain some caffeine so any drink with chocolate in is not going to be caffeine free. But milk chocolate contains a lot less cocoa solids than dark chocolate, so the type of chocolate used to make the drink will significantly alter the amount of caffeine in it.

Are there any recipes where you can put chocolate and zucchini together or is that just too wierd?

Actually there are quite a few recipes that put zucchini and chocolate together as zucchini is very moist and can add a good texture to cakes or breads.

Here is a link to a recipe for chocolate zucchini bread - http://www.joyofbaking.com/breakfast/ChocolateZucchiniBread.html

What setting will tell me when to add chocolate chips

I looked at the manual for your machine expecting it to indicate that it has a beep alert for "add ins" like a lot of machines do. But yours doesn't do that. The one recipe in your book with add ins I looked at instructed users to put them in with everything else in the beginning.

Making hot chocolate in regal 36 cup coffee maker

I've never done that myself but I have seen it done at a school function when my children were younger. If you make sure to rinse the valve thoroughly after you empty the urn, what problems could it cause?
