This says it is easy to set up, but there is a Fixya post that says there are a reset button in both units. In mine, I have to put a new battery in the main unit and then remove and replace the button in the remote unit.

Click on the link, it's La Crosse Tech weather stations. Find your model or one similar to yours. Mouse over and click "more info". Select the "support" tab and then product manual. How to set date and time will be in the manual.

Check battery status indicator on main weather station of remote unit. If no indication, replace battery in remote unit. If battery is good then check "channel setting" of remote unit to make sure the channel setting on remote unit matches the "channel" setting on main unit. many weather stations will take up to 3 or 4 remote units and they must use different channels to relay the remote imfo to the main weather station unit.
Hi, I always have trouble getting mine to work after changing the batteries, but I have just managed to get it going by doing the following: taking batteries out of main unit putting new battery in remote unit and pressing remote unit reset button re-inserting batteries in main unit and pressing reset button.
i think the trick is to ensure that the batteries go in the remote unit first, then the main unit after that. It has taken me days to work this out!
