I think the frame rate is 1.3 frames per second.

Issue:
How do I set Continuous Shooting?
Solution: Setting Continuous Shooting mode PowerShot SD750 and SD1000.

Continuous Shooting In this mode, the camera shoots continuously while the shutter button is held down. Recording ceases when the shutter button is released. In addition, under the following conditions, continuous shooting can occur at a consistent interval until the SD card is full*.

  • A resolution and compression combination other than continuous mode - 145.gif and 129.gif is selected.
    * If continuous shooting suddenly stops, the SD card may be full.
Continuous shooting is available in all modes except [AUTO], [Sticontinuous mode - coloraccentdropper.gifsrc="/uploads/images/coloraccentdropper.gif" alt="coloraccentdropper.gif" clascontinuous mode - colorswapdropper.gif Accent] and colorswapdropper.gif[Color Swap].
To set Cocontinuous mode - cont_icon.gifting
  1. Press the cont_icon.gifbutton tocontinuous mode - cont_menu.gif src="/uploads/images/cont_icon.gif" alt="cont_icon.gif" class="h_mi" />.

    cont_menu.gif
  2. Shoot the image.

The camera will continue to record successive images while the shutter button is fully pressed. Recording will cease when the shutter button is released, the card is full or the card does not support a write speed to allow continuous shcontinuous mode - cont_icon.giftinue.
To Cancel Continuous Shooting Press the cont_icon.gif button twice to displcontinuous mode - caution_a70.gifploads/images/single_icon.gif" alt="single_icon.gif" class="h_mi" />.
caution_a70.gifTo enhance the continuous shooting performance when you suspect the speed has dropped, you are recommended to format thecontinuous mode - note_icon_a70.gifamera (Low Level Format) after you save all its images to your computer. note_icon_a70.gif
  • The interval between shots may lengthen slightly when the camera's built-in memory fills.
  • If the flash is firing, the interval between shots will lengthen to accommodate the flash's charging requirements.

With a fully charged battery, how long does the power shot sd1000 work in movie mode?

It's not just the battery that counts...you will get better and longer results with a class 6 card or better.

My Canon Powershot SD1000 has a fully charged battery but won't turn on at all.

Does your camera turn on when it's in playback mode? I have a similiar problem with mine. It only turns on in playback mode.

Functions are confusing...

that function is a browsing pictures mode....its jumps from 10 to 10 ...or what ever you set it ..u can use it when you have a big amount of pictures..I mean thousands ...( its possible when you have picks about 1,5 M and have a 4 G card...and you look for a specific set of pictures...taken in a certain moment ....its kinda like a ffwd ....for the second ...you can easy clean it with one of those cleaners for spectacles or a wet Kleenex ..and for the continuous mode you probably have the option in the seting menu ...aside with the vision mode ..and light seting ...

Powershot SD1000 automatically shuts down in Camera mode

In any mode that the camera will stay on, press the "Menu" button and navigate to the RESET option and try to reset the camera. See if this will get the camera to function properly.

Canon Powershot SD1000: LCD screen display

Hopefully you resolved this already. If not, push the "DISP." button left of the MENU button. Pushing it gives you three options: black (for discreet shooting so your LCD doesn't give garner dirty looks from fellow concert goers), liveview, and liveview with info overlayed (shooting mode, ISO, etc.). Good luck!
