I have a 19'' tv and the remote control has stopped working. I have the same tv in another room and can use that remote for the other tv so I know it is not the tv. Can you help me to repair or reset the remote somehow. I have already tried new batteries. Thank you.I have the same problem with my 19" tv remote not working

from looking at the remote, it seems to be a universal type. If you go to the above website and find the code for your TV, it may work once you put the code back in. This is quite common for this type of remote. I had to input my code a couple times a year fom the wife pushing the wrong button. Just look on the site for the code for your set and try it. Then you will know if it needs to be repaired or replaced, good luck

Hi, this is a problem with a solder break. Im sure the break is isolated around the actual sensor located on the front side of this remote. you will need to disassemble this device and remove the board gently. after the removal of the board, kindly inspect the whole board. check for looseness in the sensor assemble. it will look like a small led light(very small). this will be your trouble spot. also, check the contact point area on the battery side of this board as well. you may have a lose fit here rendering the batteries inoperable.
Hi there! thanks for using fixya.com!
If you have changed the batteries already. Please try to use any universal remote control if its working on that tv.
I suggest, get a new universal remote control and use it to your 2nd tv. and the original remote control that works on your 1st tv, let it be the remote.
but, if you can have your technician to check on it just to make sure that you don't have a problem with your tv.
Regards! Cheers!

Hello,
It is a remote problem, repairing remote cost you buck (sometime is pretty to repair but you loss some $) try to compare replace it with new remote or repair the remote.
So it is recommended that new remote is possible solution.

The problem is related to the IR IC on the TV board check if the sensor is defective or the wohole ic on the borad!!
Hi!
I think there is some obstruction on the IR Signal catching sensor of your tv and needs to be checked out. Its on the front lower panel of the tv. It catches the signal from the remote.
Check for any thing kept in front of the lower panel.
If no obstruction is there then you need to get that sensor replaced by a tech.
Thanks

I have the same tv in another room and can use that remote for the other tv so I know it is not the tv (FROM YOUR POSTING) WHAT DO U MEAN? U HAVE A DEFECTIVE INFRARED RECIEVER IN THE AFFECTED TV.
The remote is a no serviceable part, that means that must not be repaired, and that schematics are not provided.
All you can do is spotting at a glance if you see a bad component or a bad solder joint.
The best solution is buying a replacement.
You can buy it on the links below:
TRUTECH PLV31199S1 remote control

Hi there,
Remove the batteries for 30mins to reset the remote.
please rate
thanks
Is this a universal remote? Make sure the remote has the universal capability. It might be just a dedicated remote to your other TV that's why is only works on one TV. Better give it a try again to another TV to check if it's universal or not.

My remote problem is only with the Trutech PLV31199S1. It is not a universal remote. It came with the TV. Worked for a little while. Changed batteries. Does not work at all now.
Tried removing batteries for 30min to reset remoted, didn't work.
Last response was regarding loose crystal??? Where is this? and possible IR diode burned out??? DOn't know where/how to get to these. Is there any easier solution like maybe a new remote!!
