Sounds like you have a direct short somewhere. Closely examine your wiring harness for bare wires and pay attention to anywhere wiring is running on or through hot or sharp areas. Does the fuse blow as soon as you plug it in, or only when you turn the key?

Sounds like the 10 amp fuse was too small to begin with. Possibly the old alternator was too weak to blow it. 20 amp sounds more like it. Someone probably stuck the wrong fuse in at some time.

I'm not 100% certain, but think fuse 10 & 11 are for power window/mirror controls. Check for breaks/shorts in those circuits. Otherwise the GEM may be faulty.

shop ,as you have no idea how your vehicles systems

Have you replaced the blower resistor . some times they can cause the fuse to blow . You may need a muiltmeter to test the current draw on the blower motor circuit. the draw should be less then half of the rated fuse .( 20 amp fues draw is less then 10 amps) You did not say but does the blower work on high only or the lower speeds with out blowing the fuse ? if it does work on low or high with out blowing the fuse i would replace the blower resistor

I would not be to concerned about the amps -- the voltage is what is the issue,, when the car is running, use your volt meter to check the voltage coming from the alternator, it should be around 12.6 to 13.4 volts DC at idle. if it is higher then this then there is something wrong with the internal regulator inside the alternator and it will need to be replaced. also check to see what the voltage is when the car is rev'ed up to about 3500 RPM's -- it should not be any higher then 14.5 volts DC and if it is then the regulator in the alternator is bad and needs to be replaced.
if you are blowing fuses -- then it sounds like you could have a short somewhere in the electrical system,, inspect all the wire that pertain to the circuit that is blowing fuse.

One or both of the power output sections has a failed part/parts

It will need a tech to repair

Check your tail lites to see if you have rust or a grounding on the hot side of the wire seating or the wrong bulb or wrong fuse.

First I suggest confirm what fuse blowing there and waht circuit and edevices are controled, check some wire broken or bad ground in the line and switch (if have one there).
