Pioneer dv320-k = no longer region free??

For some reason this dvd player no longer plays dvds from overseas. I bought it off amazon japan and it worked fine for 2 months playing absolutely everything and now will only play dvds bought in Japan. Unfortunately all of my kids dvds are either Australian or American region. I tried resetting the player and it worked to get it back playing Japan based dvds but as soon as I put a non Japanese dvd in the screen goes fuzzy (but you can still hear the dvd etc but the picture is unrecognizable)

You can use a program called Leawo Blu-ray Copy to make a lossless copy of your Blu-ray disc and remove the Blu-ray region code on it while doing so. You can check on this:

I would like to make it region free because I have a lot of European Dvds, I came from there.

Hello, Marita -

I hope I am correct in thinking you are asking about a DVD player.

If you have a DVD player which is designed for a region other than Europe, Japan, the Middle East, Egypt, South Africa, Greenland (Region 2), it may or may not be able to be reconfigured to play Region 2 DVDs.

Read the information here:
https://www.wisebread.com/make-your-dvd-player-region-free-in-seconds

Depending upon where you reside, you may be able to find and purchase a DVD player which is "region free" and which will play DVDs created for all world regions. See the information here:
http://www.220-electronics.com/region-free-dvd-players.html

Best wishes.

Wrong region

probably you are trying to play a disc that is not zone free or you need a code for your player to make it zone free. you may be playing a zone 2 disc ( PAL) on a machine that only takes zone 1 (NTSC) or vica-versa.

American Blu ray dic not playing in my malaysian sony bdp -s370

BD media does have region codes. But, unlike current DVD players, the region codes for BD media use letters instead of numbers to indicate a particular zone or region where the discs can be played.

The BD region codes are as follows:

  • Region A: North America, South America, U.S. Territories, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and other areas of Southeast Asia
  • Region B: Europe, Africa, Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand.
  • Region C: Asia (except for Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and other areas of Southeast Asia)

Trying to play dvd but says wrong region soneynhv-dx350ab?

Hi, if its saying wrong region. then either your player or disk is incompatable. region 1 ntsc ( USA ) Region 2 ( UK ) et,c. check your players region coding is compatable for your country, and that you are also playing a dvd with the same region coding as the player. alternatively is to try and find a region free or multi-region solution.
