You can contact Freud directly, they do have large U.S. operation and carry most spares. The Parts and Repair department is (800) 334-4107 to order the parts you need.

My Freud 2000 router has started sparking where the brushes are and slows down. Increase in speed control to max blew a fuse. I have tried changing brushes to no avail. Is the problem the armature/winding?...

if that is the case it may be a better option to replace the router. check online for freud spares suppliers but make sure you order the correct part with correct model number as some of them do not accept returns

First check the power suply cord(conductivity),the on/off switch, the fan and the armature,the brushes and the wires.

You have a couple options, I found a website for Freudtools.com where you can find a dealer near you or you can call Freud direct at 1-800-334-4107 to order the brushes. The part number I saw that you need is 13413.9073 but you might want to double check me on that . let me know if I can help further

Take out the brushes prior to calling Freud. There are two different types used. One has a screw connection, the other has a female slot. Freud will ask you which one you need. They cost $19 shipped to your home
