Loud enough to hear but not loud enough to indicate a major problem. Whine is intermittent during the entire wash/rinse cycle.
SOURCE: Dishwasher making loud humming noise
The most common cause of the hum/grinding sound, and often poor cleaning - is a blocked filter or debris stuck below that filter.
Pretty easy fix:
Get a phillips screwdriver near by. Pull out the lower rack (the upper rack can come out if you pull the little gray thingeys on the front of the upper rails.)
Remove the lower spray arm -- just pull it straight up.
Remove nine silver screws from the sump area that holds the filter down. Pull the filter up and out. Rinse the filter as best you can.
While the filter removed, with a flash light inspect all over the sump area - looking for stuff that should not be there and clean it out. Watch out for broken glass!
Replace the filter, screws and the spray arm. Fire it up and check your results!
Good Luck!

Well done by resolving this problem. The other way to avoid the siphoning problem through the drain hose is adding an air gap valve/connector (available at any hardware store). You can use it even if you don't have a garbage disposal in your kitchen sink. That will assure that you have the proper height of the drain hose.
Hope this helps!
SOURCE: Door leak in LG LDF6810ST Built-in Dishwasher
Your drying vent tube is probably leaking inside the door panel. Remove the outer front panel and on the top left side, there is long white plastic tube connected to the dryer fan assembly. In that connection is where the problem is. You will need to disassemble the fan from the door, disconnect the tube from the fan, clean out the water and debris and use silicone when reassembling the tube to the fan.

Recommendations:
-Switch to a brand name detergent powder - like Electrosol or Cascade and do not fill the dispenser cup full. You will notice the difference immediately.
-Remove the filter assembly one more time and inspect underneath with a flashlight. Look closely for debris and also inspect the impeller to look for damage and that it is spinning freely.
Reassemble and listen for the growling sound. It should not happen. If it continues, you may have a a failing wash motor / motor bearing.
Please report back what you find. OK?
