First thing to do is to disassembling the printer and replace the waste ink pad. After that you need to reset the waste ink counter, in this way the printer know the wasteink pad was replaced.To reset the counter you need to enter in service mode. To do this you need the service manual.

Unlock all the keys, and in the bottom and side areas there are plastic lock that you need to push gently using a flat screw driver.

rather than changing whole bar you can just change paper pick rubbor in case you have problem in picking pages and if you are going to chage the bar you need disassemble it and on both you will see lock remove it and change the bar.

You need to disassembly your printer.In the right side (looking from the front) you'll see the cleaning station.Remove it, disassembly it, remove the motor and wash the ink with hot water.Wait for fry and assembly it.

Sorry no diagrams, taking a printer apart is not hard if you have some basic computer building experience, otherwise I would take it to a local computer shop for service. Unless its a cheap printer, than do it one step at a time and take some notes.

I disassembled HP f380 myself without a manual.
