How to access blades on oztec 1275 shredder

To access the blades on an Oztec 1275 shredder, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Disconnect the shredder from the power source.
  2. Locate the shredder's blade cover. This is typically located on the bottom or side of the shredder, and is often secured with screws or a locking mechanism.
  3. Remove the blade cover by either unscrewing it or releasing the locking mechanism.
  4. Carefully remove the blades from the shredder. Be sure to handle the blades with care, as they are sharp and can cause injury.
  5. Inspect the blades for any signs of wear or damage. If the blades are dull or damaged, you will need to replace them.
  6. Clean the blades and the inside of the shredder with a brush or compressed air to remove any debris.
  7. Reinstall the blades and the blade cover, making sure they are securely in place.
  8. Reconnect the shredder to the power source.
Please make sure to read the instruction manual before accessing the blades, as the steps may vary depending on the specific model of Oztec 1275 shredder you have.

Our C220c shredder does not shred, motor turns and blades turn but i think the blades are blunt. Can you get new ones or have the old blades sharpened?

There are 2 shafts that have the cutting blades on them and they both should turn. I have replaced many gears on this model and suspect that a gear is broken. Fellowes does not have many parts this model anymore. I would call a local shredder repair service or you can call Fellowes at 800-955-0959.

If the blades rotate then the paper should go in...just be sure the blades are turning in the forward direction and not in reverse. Also make sure you lubricate the blades with shredder oil.

Blades all bent and paper still twisted on them.

Proper procedure for oiling a shredder is to wet a sheet of paper with the oil across the width of the sheet
and allow the oil to saturate the sheet before feeding the sheet though the CLEAN shredder for which there
are brushes that will accomplish the cleaning job, which should precede the lubrication job.

You need a wire brush, supplied by your original vendor, if Office Depot, as shown here, before giving up
on the shredder you have. As to supply of a new set of blades, replacement of the shredder is cheaper.

XF50D motor won't turn shredder blades

There is no viable solution.  There are no replacement parts available.  The Office Depot shredder is a cheap low quality product made by a cheap company.  The FIXYA service agreement costs more than the product.  Bad choice to buy the product!
