Maytag dishwasher stuck on 38 minutes wash cycle

If you have a disposal make sure it is clear. You can put some icecubes in it to clean the blades and run some water through to make sure the drain is clear. If the dishwasher will still not pump out all the water check the drain line from the dishwasher to the sink drain for obstructions. If the drain is you will have to check the pump for obstructions. Sometimes glass, popcorn, toothpicks etc.... can get in the pump and prevent it from pumping out. If the pump is clear, then you will need a new pump. Good luck to you.

Is the water filling up and then draining out? Mine did this and a part was broken inside the unit. The part was five dollars and called a lifter. I fixed it myself.

Change the circuit board, timer/progrsmer.
Take it out and clean contacts,
Look for burnt circuit line and solder a fine bead carefully on the circuit board, difficult. Use the pot and pan program.

SOURCE: i have a Maytag MDB4651AWW3 dishwasher that stops during cycle

is it making a humming sound ,then the pump is blocked see if any thing is stuck under spray arm, worst could be is the motor unplug before working on it. thanks
