Photocopies with black lines from top to bottom.

Everytime I do a copy on my photocopier it keeps copying with a 2cm width line from top of the page to the bottom. Don't know why this is happening. It's just started doing it.

Your leading edge erase margin is adjusted out too far. It can be adjusted with a manual.

Copy streaked

Hi, If all pages have the lines, even when printed from a pc or a selftest page, most likely printhead issues.... should be a cleaning cycle in the menu, if the lines only appear on photocopies then its a scanner issue..... could be something on the scanner glass or a defective scanner..... would have thought it is a blocked jet in the printhead as its quite common with inkjets.

Photocopies are not clear even after increasing image intensity.

if you have over approx. 60-100k copies on the machine it sounds like you may need regular maintaince on the machine.
to check how many copies you have press the user tools/counter button and then press counter.

Line down the left side of the photocopies

If this only occurs with copies (not with printed jobs), then your problem is most likely dust/dirt on the scanner (not necessarily the glass), or on the optics that feed the image to the scanner. If it's on print jobs also, it could be a simple image drum problem (they wear out over time, and frequently manifest their impending failure with vertical lines appearing down printed/copied pages.

There are white lines ony my photocopies

You need to be more specific with your diagnosis.

1- are they black or white lines?
2- does it happen when you put the paper in the feeder ( on top)?
3- what about if you put it directly on the glass?
4- do faxes come out OK?

Why do I get a line of faint or no copying on the page?

Does this blank line run top-to-bottom or side-to-side, and which direction is the paper traveling through the machine, portrait or landscape?
