Zebra S600, Recieves data, but does not print

We always use the Zebra S600 to print out our UPS labels. But a co-worker accidently did a test page via the normal printer screen and something like "fomat succesful" came out.
Now all we see when we try to print a label is that the zebra s600 recieves data (data light is blinking) and then nothing.
What can we do ?

Go into the printer driver and select print a test page, does it print out?
If so then try printing from your label software, it should work, if not then it is your software that is at fault.
If the test page does not print out then check all the settings in the print driver, so they are the same as the physical label.
If non of this helps then go to www.lancerlabels.co.uk and do a live chat to Michael.

I have installed (hardware + driver) a stripe s600 via COM1 on my desktop; how can i get a test page? i does not work from the test page @ printer properties.

You should be able to print a test page from Windows.
First make sure the device itself can print by holding down CANCEL while you power it up. Release the button when the CALIBRATE light goes off. This should print out a config label.

Here's the manual: http://tinyurl.com/yb2rpd4

I would check all the connections, download the latest drivers from the Zebra website (not the ones on the disc) and reinstall.

Hope this is helpful for you!

Zebra TLP 2844-Z Test page print within Win XP

This printer requires special software to print labels with. It uses a unique PCL language to work with. Thats why when you use these printers with Fedex or UPS software, it typically downloads forms first before working.

Zebra used to see a label designer program to work with it. You might want to check with them to see if they still carry it.

Wont print

Check to make sure you have direct thermal labels. You can test this by scratching your fingernail across the label quickly. You should see a black line. This printer uses the same paper as a ups or fedex label. test a ups of fedex label with the fingernail test. Does it look the same? or call Andrew @ 908-725-1699
