I have not been able to get the DVD player to play a DVD, so I took it apart and cleaned in and aorund the DVD drive and the motor and gears that spin the DVD was making wierd noises. I was able to move the read head along its rails and now the DVD will play from the beginning, but I cannot FF or reverse or skip chapters as the head apparently has trouble tracking correctly. Power Acoustik no longer offers the DVD drive unit anymore, and I cannot locate anyone who has replacement parts.
Is there something that I can try or does someone know who reapirs this unti at a reasonable price?

the spindal on the motor could be bad, could have bad transverse motor or even a bad laser., had to say with out seeing it do it.
