Is your stereo system set up for wireless communication? If it is, you may have to go into the user manual for the stereo, to find the setting for it. The wireless setting may be set to off by default.

SOURCE: Problem adding wsp155 wireless speakers.

You must check with the instalation gude for the wireless speaker to see if the connection to the reciver is a high impedence or low impedence... If its like most wireless set-ups its going to be a high impedence output from the reciver to the transmitter part of the speakers. That would be from the RCA jacks in the back of the reciver maked line out or tape out. If you want to use them for a specific speaker output , some recivers have an output jack that would be labeled center sperker out but would be an RCA type jack ect ect. If your reciver dosent have that you can in a higher end audio store get an adaptor to convert the speaker output to a high impedence, But I dont recomend that as some of the adaptors do cause excessive strain on the output section of the amp or reciver.. If you buy a good one though you should be fine.. You get what you pay for.. Good Luck

SOURCE: Stereo speaker problem

The speaker is bad. The receiver detects a shorted condition and shuts off to prevent the amp section from damage. Replace the speaker or the wires. Something is shorted.

SOURCE: I have an Acoustimass 10 system with SL 2 Wireless

when you play real DVDs?
im assuming you do
DVD quality is higher than standard TV signals and also TV signals are subject to noise from the envionment
as for DVD there is every little chance for noise because its from DVD player to speakers.

what you could try is swapping the cables that carry sound from the DVD palyer to the system with the ones that carry sound from the TV to the system
if you can

and see if that helps but i doubt that it will help

all i can say is you have to live with the noise or get a HD reciver or something along those lines

also i just read that the back speakers are wireless temporarily move the wireless speakers towards the transmitter and see if the noise stops

or if you can hard wire them temporarily and see if it helps

I don't know how to connect the speakers to my insignia receiver.

Well, this is a two channel (stereo) receiver. If you have two speakers, look to rear of the unit and connect right speaker to the right output terminal and vice versa with left speaker. If you have four speakers, there are an option if the receiver has systems A and B of speakers set. Do the same with B system and listen to all four speakers using switch at the A+B position. Good

How to make my rear speakers wireless wat do i need

If you are considering using bluetooth for this, you will need a transmitter and receiver for each speaker pair. Each speaker pair will need to be driven by an amplifyer which interprets the bluetooth signal and drives the speakers. So for a 5.1 sysem, you will require 3 amps, 3 transmitters and 3 receivers. Also the power packs for charging the transmitters & receivers. Jabra make a very nice transmitter which I use, Its an AS 120S;. The 'S' is for stereo. For receivers I use a simple cheap unit I got off eBay. Item number 320519321206, which is a better unit than the Jabra. You have to have all signal through bluetooth (or none) because of the few milliseconds delay this technology produces.

Wireless speakers

You should have two pieces for your wireless rear speakers setup. A. a wireless card inserted behind the all in one receiver. B. the receiving box that will connect to the 2 rear speakers. Also, you should not have any obstacles to block off the line of site for the rear speaker receiving box to the wireless card.
Best way to test it is too simply leave the rear speakers connected to the rear speakers receiving box on the floor near the a/v receiver with dvd player built in.Play a dvd and see if you have sound coming out from the rear.

Rear Wirelss speaker do not work

With the main unit turned off, press and hold [REMAIN] on the home theater's remote for 4 seconds. (The REMAIN button is directly under the 7 button). Once held down for 4 seconds, the Volume Indicator on the main unit will turn on for 1 second. Release the [REMAIN].

Press the [RESET] on the back of the Wireless Receiver 2-3 times. The Standby/On LED on the front of the Wireless Receiver will blink 3 times

Turn on the main unit. The Link LED on the wireless receiver will light up if process is done correctly. The front of the main unit will no longer say REAR CHK and the rear speakers should now function correctly.

No sound in wireless speakers and subwoofer.

I had the same problem and tried it both ways. The sound did come from the rear but was very soft. I used the microphone that came with the receiver to optimize the sound and that also helped. But what I really noticed was that certain movies make use of the rear speakers more then others.
