Sunbeam 10 cup coffee maker starts and stops brewing spuradically

My coffee maker has been working just fine...until this morning. It started brewing and then just stopped. I wiggled things and cleaned the machine. It's just a basic little coffee pot. No bells, no whistles. Even if I try to just run water through it, with no filter or anything, it will stop and start brewing as it sees fit, taking hours to go through a full 10 cups of water.

I removed the manual from the box as soon as I received the coffee maker, but wasn't able to think about setting it up in my teensy galley kitchen in my apt. until this week (due to many family problems, a surgery and I was ill for an extended period. I finally got around to clearing a suitable space for my K10, and cannot remember where I placed the manual (I'm almost 80-yrs-old). I think I am supposed to run some vinegar through it before making my 1st cup of coffee, but I don't remember anything else. I have been stocking up on the K-cups, and am anxious to use the machine, but I don't want to get started without reading the instructions.

Gd morn. My CBC5200PC will brew only a partial amount of the water. This morning it stopped at 6 cups, then I coaxed it by turning it off and on,, but would only drop a cup of water at a time

Brewing Problems

Another common problem that can occur with the Cuisinart coffee maker is it will stop brewing, even when there is water ready to be transformed into coffee. The machine still turns on and works like it should, but does not continue brewing an entire pot of coffee, and acts like it has finished brewing even when there is still water sitting in the bin. This type of problem is pretty common among various coffee makers, and usually occurs when there is a problem inside the machine.

One of the best ways to fix this problem is by flushing the coffee maker out with a vinegar solution, which can be made with equal parts of vinegar and water. It should be poured in the same place as the water that is ready to be brewed, and will help to clear out the machine and make it ready to start brewing again. This problem is usually caused by calcium building up within the machine, and the vinegar helps to clear out any blockage to help it start running smoothly again. (From. Google Search)

Doesn't always brew all the water, stops early

All coffee makers do this over time from calcium, lime, and mineral deposits building up inside the tubes and heating coil. Fill the reservoir with a 50/50 mixture of water and white vinegar and run a normal brew cycle, turning it off and on if necessary to completely empty the reservoir. Repeat this 2 or 3 times with fresh mixture of vinegar and water until it brews the reservoir empty without the need to cycle the power. Follow this procedure with plain water 2 or 3 times to clean the vinegar out. This should get it working like new again. It's best to use distilled water for brewing coffee as distilled water does not have the minerals that regular tap water has and therefore will not clog up the machine.

I put the coffee on to brew and it stops after a few cups

If the display works and the platter heats up when it is turned on to brew, this might be the problem and solution. Please read both (scroll).

I received a Cuisinart Grind and Brew 10 cup coffee maker. Can you tell me how to set the time on it?

Press and hold the HR button for a few seconds until clock time starts flashing, then press and release the HR button to change the hours

Do the same with the MIN button

Note: on this coffeemaker, the display will say "PM" if it is set for PM - otherwise it will be on AM

Won't finish brewing

We were having the same problem of it quitting the brew cycle about 1/2 way through. We put a mixture of 5 cups vinegar & 5 cups water through followed by a pot of just water and now it works like new. The vineagr must clean some sort of built in sensor.

Keurig starts & stops without brewing coffee, just descaled

The pic is clogged with coffee or the air bladder is bad. Use the tool on the underside of the tray to clean out pic. If that doesn't work, the bladder will be bad.

Cuisinart DCC2000 quits brewing after 1or 2 cups

Finally, I got my coffee pot to run through without stopping several times. To fix it I had to run vinegar through eight times! Never before has it taken so many cycles to clean out a pot. It is still spluttering a bit so today I am going to get more vinegar or maybe even CLR and run it through a few more times.

Keurig B60 coffeemaker stopped pumping water because I didn't notice there was almost no water left in the chamber and started it--I added water right away but it won't pump any more water out of the...

This morning my Keurig sounds like it begins to pull water then stops. I tried to cut it off then back on. Still didn't work.Removed water from reservoir and K-cup and added pure vinegar. Ran machine several times without filter or Kcup by pressing cup selector several times. You must open K-cup holder and close each time. I had to do this about a dozen times before the water began to draw again. Flushed system by filling water reservoir with fresh water, and brewed just plain water until vinegar was gone.Works like brand new.
