I have a RCA HDTV model HD27F754T manufactured for Walmart (I think). We haven't had any problems until we got cable 2 days ago. We have sound but no picture; just a blue screen. What Is wrong?

Sounds to me like something else is causing those parts to fail. It should be under warranty but depends on the repair shop. Why not just buy a new one.
If the last problem happened at first, I would blame the power supply since this is a very common point of failure.
You have had so many different problems preceding it dying completely, it sounds you should plan on replacing the main board and the power supply.
The failures you first had all point to the main board where most of the signal activity processes happen but the fact that it will not even light off now point to what I would call a 'lemon.'
If the set is more than 2-3 years old, it may have still been built by Philips but all the newer sets under that name are now built by Funai, the worst Asian manufacturer of all.
Hi gregschirk, I bought the same model and I am experiencing a similar problem. My HDMI components worked fine before. Now both my cable box and DVD player will not be recognized as HDMI systems. It thinks they are DVI to HDMI connections. Good picture but no sound. Would like to know if there is a fix for this. Thanks Gilbo72
This time it came in on the cable, the clue was the cable box also blew. So if you had a cable surge supression device...for HDTV, I think you would have survived the second surge.
I do have the technology. It is a F-connector type and will handle HDTV signal.
