Cold water will not stop filling during rinse

During the rinse cycle only, the cold water will not stop filling the washer until the computer board clocks out after twelve minutes. The no fill code 'nf' displays. The washer will fill appropriately during the wash cycle (typically with warm or hot water). I have been through the Board Input and Output Test without any problems found. Would this point to the pressure switch and why would the washer fill in the wash cycle?

My washing machine is F&P MW512, it cannot fill up cold water properly, just drip. I need to turn on the tap for the tub for a few second, then it properly fill. After one cycle, it happen again. Is it something wrong with the water pressure?

While the unit is filling in the warm cycle. reach behind and shut off the hot water tap.I bet the water flow stops filling, if so, you would need to change the inlet valve on the machine. You see, in warm, if the cold is not filling, you still hear the hot filling and the unit will advance. The rinse cycles are mostly "cold" only. if the valve is not opening it will not allow it to advance from the rinse section on the board.

Good luck!

Washer stops during rinse cycle and beeps at me

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Lid Switch Assembly If the washer stops mid cycle the lid switch assembly might be defective. This is a very common problem. The lid switch assembly can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any electrical switches with an Ohm meter for continuity. The switches should have continuity according to their design
Door Lock Motor and Switch Assembly If the washer stops mid cycle the door lock assembly should be checked. The door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any switches on the door lock with an Ohm meter. The switches should have continuity according to their design.
Water Inlet Valve If the washer stops mid cycle the water inlet valve cold water side may have failed. Most washers have a cold water rinse and so if they can't fill with cold water they just sit indefinitely waiting for the cold water to enter. If there is cold water to the water inlet valve and the cold water works in other parts of the cycle - or to make warm water - the valve is not the problem.

Main Control Board If the washer stops mid-cycle the main control board might be defective. This is not common. Check other causes first such as the lid or door switch and other components.

Timer If the washer stops mid cycle the timer might be defective. This part is often misdiagnosed, check other components before replacing this timer.

Not getting enough water during rinse cycle

In the rinse cycle it will use cold only to rinse with.
You need to see how fast the water is going into the machine on rinse
Things that can effect slow fill, low water pressure, Faulty cold valve
water hose & valve filters clogged, Kinked hose

Water will not fill during rinse cycle. it does fill when i start the machine but not during rinse cycle.

The rinse cycle only takes cold water so I suspect that you have a bad or maybe clogged water valve on the cold side of valve.hope this helps.

Washer wont fill up during rinse cycle

all rinse cycles are filled with cold water to keep the clothes from wrinkling.set up the washer to run with just cold water.start it,if no water comes into washer, shut down your house water valve that fills the washer, take off the cold water hose, stick it in the washer or if there's a sink or where ever and turn on the water,if water comes out of the hose then you need a new water valve on the washer

My washer will fill with water during the wash cycle just fine, but during the rinse cycle the water just trickles in. The water lines seem to be fine. What else could be causing my problem?

usually the wash is a mix of hot and cold and the rinse is just cold, that said, it is most likely a problem with the cold water supply. check to make sure the cold water valve is all the way open and the hose isn't kinked. If those are ok turn the water supply off and remove the supply lines on the machine side, you will see a screen inside the washer that may be clogged with sediment. If so, just clean it out and put it back together. You may also want to run a wash cycle on cold only to see if it fills slowly for the wash cycle. If it does fill slowly on cold you have low pressure on the cold side.

Stops during rinse cycle

Dear customer,

We recommend the following when a washer's cycles dont advance..
  1. If the washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer does not advance, the timer probably needs to be replaced
  2. If the timer does not advance while the washer is in a spin cycle, the timer probably needs to be replaced
  3. If the timer does not advance during the rinse cycle, check whether water has filled the tub, if not, it is likely cold water related. Check the cold water supply valve, check the supply hose for kinks, check the filter screen and check the water inlet valve
For details on how to self test these parts plz refer to http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/washer/washer.php
Plz rate this solution.. thank you..
