That is correct. The date setup only affects pictures when they are taken; it will not alter pictures that have already been taken.

If you want to remove the date from a picture that already has it, you have to remove it the same way you would remove any other unwanted object from the picture.

Does that mean with photoshop or something like that? What is strange is that I do have the preview without the date on my camera !

If the date is not actually on the image then is it possible whatever program you're using to view the pictures is putting it there? It it is on the image then yes, you'll have to use PhotoShop or some other photo editor to remove it.

SOURCE: Time/Date Stamp Problem

I'm sure you have done this already, but you have make sure you press the OK button after all the fields are set. Something else, make sure the batteries are new and charged.

For printing the date/time...

  1. Rotate the mode dial to A, P, SCENE, Tv, Av or M and turn on your ViviCam 8400.
  2. Press the menu button, then use "right" to select Mode 3 menu.
  3. Press "down" to select the Daet Imprint and change it to ON.
  4. Press the OK button to make this permanent.
  5. Then press the menu button again to exit the menu.
After this, all pictures will print with the date, and cannot be removed.

Hope this helps, if it does, please choose FixYa!

to delete all the pictures at the same time all you have to do is to press the button that gets up you photos and then open up one of the menus and go delete pictures delete all then yes. to set the date make sure you are on the normal screen so you can see what you are going to take a picture of and then go onto the settings click date and time and you can then set the date and the time, once you have put the date and time in press ok and it is done. you can then go off the menu if needed.

How do I retrieve pictures after they have gone missing from my card?

So the pics vanished from the memory card, right? Perhaps you can insert the card to your computer and try a photo recovery tool on it. Give this app a try if you're a Mac user. Recover Digital Photo Music and Video on Mac OS

Cant save or download pictures

Sounds as though you deleted the pictures folder along with the photos. Be sure you have pictures folder, but if not you can make a new one to put your photo in.

Hi im using a canon digital ixus 9515 camera and I have the wrong date stamp on all my recent photos. How can I delete the date?

There is no way you can delete the date stamp from the photos you have taken.
For future photos you can either correct the date or disable insertion of date stamp.

How do I delete the date? I have the date set wrong and can't get rid of it. It's spoiling my pictures. Please help!

I'm afraid you can't delete the stamps from the photos you've taken already. That could be done only by a photo editing software on your computer, such as Adobe Photoshop.

To disable the time stamps for new photos, follow the steps shown here:

How to delete the date from photos

Hi,

Cameras normally have a setting where you can turn the date stamp on or off. Just browse through the menu. It will be there somewhere. In he case of the photos already taken with the date stamp you will be able to remove it with the brush tool in Photoshop.

Hope this helps!

Cheers

Deleted pictures

to delete photos, you had to have hit 'format' or 'delete'. Changing settings won't do it. IF they are deleted, they're gone. You can't un-delete photos on a camera.
