No air flow in fridge

Freezer and ice maker are fine-fridge is barely cool no air flow iced up at the back of the unit where the line goes in and one section of freezer wall inside is frosted over. Thought I may have packed it too tight. Unit is unplugged to thaw out now.

SOURCE: Maytag model MSD2756GE ice maker. Water not getting to ice maker.

Why was there a need to increase the freezer temperature? Are you having temperature problems as well? If so, your ice maker has a built-in thermostat that, unless and until it is satisfied, will not cycle, thereby, making no ice. If temperature seems ok, and the buzzing is only occasional, then that buzzing is most likely the solenoid valve being energized but not passing water. This is a dual solenoid valve (one supplies the ice maker and the other supplies the dispenser) located at the bottom rear of the refrigerator.

SOURCE: Kenmore bottom freezer refrigerator warming up

Hi
There is a definetely leak in the cooling gas.
Firstly... You will need to find from where the gas has leaked. It is usually on the compressor pipes..... but not always.

Secondly you are right about the Water Valve... it needs to be changed.

SOURCE: whirlpool top freezer 18c.ft w/ icemaker: freezer works fine. fridge does not cool below 56 degrees. vacuumed dust from bottom, turned entire unit off and restarted but still not working, in back of

i think you have to check to make sure that
the fan inside the freezer is cycling on.
it will be concealed of course but you should
be able to hear it. i replaced one once with
the same symptoms and that fixed fridge
portion of a 2002 or 3 whirlpool. make sure
to listen closely and not mistake it for the
stronger fan motor which operates in
conjunction with and nearby the compressor.

Testimonial: "Sir; bless you! My husband and I have spent the last 48 hours trying to figure out the problem with our whirlpool fridge...and you, my good sir, solved our problem in less than 5 sentences! So a quick trip to the parts store, $52, and your excellent advice fixed our fridge. We are so grateful for your help. Within minutes of posting our problem on line, you answered our plea and told us right away what the problem was and gave us the solution to fix this problem without our having to call for an expensive service call. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Bless you for going the extra mile to help a frustrated homeowner!"

Electrolux american fridge freezer cooling problem

There is a defrost timer on the unit. It is supposed to come on and melt the ice that forms on the coils in the evaporator. IF you get a lot of ice built up or something is wrong with the timer, it wont melt the ice or it wont come back on to cool the unit.

Fridge not pumping any cold

All your cold air for the fridges comes from your freezer compartment. If you are haveing ice build up in the freezer comparment there may be an issue with your defrost circuit.

While the unit is in a cooling mode open the freezer door and listen to for the fan running in the freezer this is the evaporator fan that circulates the cold air to your fridge compartment if it is not running replace it.

If it does run try and check your defrost circuit and make sure the unit goes into the defrosat cycle

Ice maker stopped working

The water line may be clogged with debris. there is sometimes a filter in the water line to the fridge, or also a screen filter may be located at the point where the water line connects to the fridge. If they are clogged, your ice maker will not make ice and may even burn out.
Check that the water in the line is flowing freely. Also it might be a good idea to defrost the freezer in case you have a ice buildup in the freezer compartment. To do that, empty the freezer and blow air into the freezer for 30 minutes while the power if off. Note, keep the other side closed to protect the milk and other perishables.

This is a bottom freezer and the freezer is fine but top part of refrigerator is not cooling

look for possible ice buildup with in the freezer compartment. If you have alot of ice buildup it can block the flow of cold air to the upper chamber..also check your defrost mode some are automatic ..but in most newer and older models if the defrost timer goes bad the fridge..wont cool or over cools..These are fairly common problems in most units .if none of the above fit..its best to call a service tech to your house as it can be a blocked freon line, leaking freon, numerous other things depending on the age of the fridge

Fridge is not cold enough, freezer is working fine, but has frost

Just had the same problem with my side-by-side.

In my case, the solution was to empty the freezer side, to access a back panel INSIDE the freezer covering the fan and cooling coils. Two screws held the back panel cover on, and when I removed the panel cover I found the cooling coils to be totally iced up, preventing the flow of cold air into the fridge side. I left the freezer open for a few hours until all the ice was melted, before replacing the inside panel. (I used a blow dryer to help speed up the ice melting).

Everything's working fine now for me - good luck with yours!

GE model TFX22R ice maker problem

First clean out the condensor coils. If you have pets it should be done at least 3 times a year. The other possible problem is if the gasket in either the fridge or freezer is worn out or has a gap it will not cool properly. Check that the fan underneath the unit by the condensor coils is running when the compressor is . Some smaller refrigerators have only condensor coils on the back and no fan. These units should have room for air flow on top and sides not built in flush with cabinets. Buy a thermometer for both the fridge and freezer compartments. You run the risk of food poisoning if the fridge temp can not be kept below 40 degrees. Freezer temp should be able to keep at least 0 - 5 degrees. (Ice cream is a very good indication of proper temp. It is the first thing that melts. Ice maker is a close 2nd.)

If these things don't work call for repair. Don't risk losing all your food!

SAMSUNG RS253BAWW NOT WORKING

the ice maker wont cycle untill the temp of the ice is around 10 degrees so if the freezer is at 15 or 20 due to some other malfunction then you will see the maker full of ice but it wont harvest and make another batch. so you could have a sensor bad, control malfunction, refrigeration issue, compressor, defrost system malfunction(you mentioned ice build up)
